SUPER BS on the weight claims
what on earth has been done to that m42 that it puts out 155whp?
car does look clean nonethelessOriginally posted by ebelementsAlso, for those who don't know, negative camber is the greatest thing since sliced bread(panera). Even tire wear is for city busses and the elderly.

I don't know about a 4cyl car but with an M20 expect a car similarly equipped=full interior BUT much more stripped to hit 2300lbs. That's with manual windows, no maplight, 6lb Braille battery, exhuast weighing less than 5lbs, JB flywheel, no OBC or wires, no cruise or wires, front mounted battery so no cable, empty washer resevoir, no fogs, early model cloth rear seat, corbeau drivers seat, cheap summit passenger seat, ALL A/C deleted including hoses and under dash evap, early model no insulation carpet.....ETC,ETC.
No way in heck that the 4cyl is that much lighter than a M20....Hell your car even has power windows and A/C for cryin' out loud.......
Nice car otherwise though.sigpic

Like I said...
I may let everyone in on some stuff on weight reduction in an article...
Briefly though...
That full interior you see has been completely re-worked with lighter materials right down to the seat padding and frames...
Lighter Teflon insulated wiring, lighter alloy attaching hardware...
I've done things like replacing the counter-shaft and selector rods in the transmission with an alloy pieces and bored the camshafts...
Serious (capital serious) weight reduction...
I probably will have to revise the weight like I said earlier because the rear sub-frame was swapped back out to a stock one... it couldn't handle the daily driver pot holes and I was getting a little worried about it blowing apart...
The front carrier will probably have to go as well...

Looks amazingly clean, I love it!
We came up with a price tag of something like $50K...

And yes I'll shoot another interior shot with the Mtech II wheel...Last edited by DCColegrove; 12-06-2008, 05:08 PM.
