It's way more fun this way...

I just got an email from a viewer asking me to start a thread in here called:

"I dated Dian Lane in the 80's"

Want's to see what would happen with that.

I put some aviation rivets on my car today, five 5-3 button head cherrymax to be precise. I think that they just added weight though.

Hey DCC, I just noticed this, check out your wikipedia article.

Colegrove has been known to present inflated claims and exaggerate the truth when making appearances on BMW message forums. Long-time members of these forums agree that his rather imaginative claims hinder the forum due to the influence on new members. Because of this, Colegrove will often see harsh criticism when he participates in these forums.

heres what he wrote about fasteners and their weight

"Go take off one of your fenders and weigh the screws... you have to cut the captured nut off to weigh it but...

Then go weigh enough av skin rivets to put it back together... The devil really is in the details... "

and then when asked to take a pic of said rivets he says this

                    "

To attach a small aluminum plate, which itself had a nut plate riveted to it, to the core support so that I could bolt up my new electric cooling fan brackets.

I guess by going solely with an electric fan, I am saving weight, so I guess I am coming out ahead after all. Watch your ass, the lightest R3v e30 with aircraft rivets title will soon be mine.:p
