Like it was stated before, BMW did just fine in their professional racing with the stock wing with a gurney flap. I have seen larger wings put on M3's but never one so Pepboyesk.

There are dimension limits for CCA racing. That wing is most likely built to nearly max dimensions, for the best performance possible. If you can get the same performance, and still 'look good', I will give you props, as I haven't seen anyone else do it. And if you think someone who built a $50k+ purpose built race car is going to sacrifice performance to look better, you are out of your mind ;)

BMW did 'just fine' racing in certain classes with much more strict regs. Wings of that size weren't allowed, or they would have used them. Look at any car winning in the C-mod, D-mod, etc... 90% of them have a pep-boys looking aluminum wing.

frank can't seem to get it into his head that NO ONE is going to pay 65k for that car, especially not now. his name is not worth a 30-40k premium.

I'd say worth $ 25K tops, $30k maybe...looks like the SHOGUN wing is bolted under the original trunk so it can be removed, and reduce the price by $30,000...for 300WHP, you do not need such wing, stock is fine!

Any racecar I've ever seen that did anything significant on the track that had a roundel attached to it had a huge fucking wing like that. Welded with CroMo tubing to the focking chassis. Srs bsnsnssss

The wing on Franks car looks 1,000 times worse then the pro car wing. It resembles something pieced together from plywood and pep boys special. Just my 2 cents. I've seen the car in person. Not my cup of tea. I have seen much better s38 swaps.

As far as functionality, I would put my M5 on a BMW DTM M3 against Franks M3 any day of the week. Class restraints or not. I'll also add since it hasn't seemed to be mentioned, what about balance? I see the biggest possible wing on the back, but nothing really balancing out the front. I highly doubt the car needs that wing or functions better with it then it would with a stock wing and gurney flap.

            Cheers,

            Brian

I would expect nothing less from Frank Fahey.
