I wouldn't paint the calipers, to me its like putting an M badge on a non-M car--putting paint on the calipers doesn't make them stop any better. I would just wait until I could afford a brake upgrade--some Brembos or Stoptechs or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating on your idea, just stating what i think. I think the car looks amazing as it is, anyway.

I ikinda agree, but the stock brakes are Brembos. So it is kind of like buying a Red Brembo BBK and color matching it to your car. BTW I would never put a brembo sticker on them. I would find the BMW stock decals to put back.

Don't paint anything on your car to make it look better to you, cause if the paint doesn't improve performance than its useless.

FACT: bmw uses the same thread size and pitch as Honda. so yes, those are lug nuts made for Hondas. i am running black lug nuts made for a honda.

Titties indeed and I was thrown by the red lug nuts for a second, but by the second pic I was sold. Very nicely done. Still 50/50 on painting the calipers red though.

you answered your own question in many ways. BBS DOESNT make red lug nuts for a reason.-- for that matter, I have never even seen ANY bmw besides yours with red lugs.
jap cars seem to "need/use" those things more than the true lines of a euro car---- I think--but I am really noone.

I'm not busting your balls-- do what you like -- I dont think it looks that bad, just not my thing.

the hatches are alot more common over here, so actually- I seem to prefer the coupe-- I will have to take a few pics of the 3 door hatch 130i I put together for my work with the performance package stuff-- it is sitting on our showroom floor for the winter.

I know you are not busting my balls. I am really interested in your perspective.

BBS does make red lugs, well McGard makes them, but BBS brands them and sells them on thier web site.

A lot of e46's and e90's have been running red lugs. I am not sure about e36's as I dont follow thier trends.

Sweet ride man! You must really have a hard time picking between your two sick cars in the mornings. Love the wheels on the 135i. I hardly see any of them modified on the streets. It looks business. I wouldn't have even commented on the lug nuts but honestly not my thing. I did not know that the factory brakes on the 135i were brembos but I not paint them red unless they came red. Regardless your car is sick! I need to get a ride in one of those one day. Keep up the good work.
