          YES

I haven't found the batteries yet (was going to drop by mar vac tomorrow to see if they had the sanyo lithiums) but I just replaced fuse 21 (radio/climate control/obc) and had to put a higher amperage fuse in to get the blower/ac to work. I know it's a bad idea and it's just a temporary fix but the radio and OBC (incidentally the interior lights too even though the bulbs are good) still do not work.

Edit: Since replacing the fuse I haven't reinstalled the gauge cluster, so that would probably explain why the radio and OBC don't work if they depended on a voltage source from the cluster. I'll try reinstalling it tomorrow just for giggles.

Slowly fixing problems here, one by one...

Better that than the other way around IMO. I rarely washed my maxima but it had...

            Bixenon retrofit (acura TLs)
custom made coilovers with camber plates, GCs, custom shortened body konis
            front strut bar
4 point lower tie bar/brace in the front
4 point subframe connectors (welded on)
            aftermarket rear sway bar
            18x8 +30 and 235/40ZR18 Federal 595s

Thing handled on rails... for a maxima. Getting into the E30 all of a sudden it doesn't have the same noodle frame chassis that the maxima did, and I don't need to add camber and rear anti-sway to try desperately to dial out understeer. It handles better than my car ever did and I don't need to do a single thing to it.

I love the maxima and I knew I was polishing a turd by modifying it; I did it anyway for shits and giggles but only now is it so apparent how much of a turd it really was.

I bought my batteries at hobby people. I have a few spares actually. Does your service board have 1 battery or 2?

                        2. They're the Sanyo Laser Lithiums, but I already bought another pair and soldered up a solution. The tach still doesn't work, so either I need to charge the batteries first or I've got the tach wire problem (OBC and radio still don't work).

I'm actually a member of hard parking (the local "import" board) and was going to register with sbeuro already. Lots of drama here in good ol' SB car groups... :giggle:

Welcome! I too graduated from a Nissan Maxima (3rd gen, 1994 5-spd SE). Fun cars, but they do have their limits. I'm sure you'll enjoy the E30's vast tuning potential. Your old car looked pretty sweet. Here's what my Max looked like before it too got totalled:

They do need to be charged first. When i bought my car it had been parked for a whole with a dead battery and took about a month for it to charge enough to work porperly.
