    Goodbye VW! (e36 content)

Well, the day has finally come. We no longer have any non-bmw autos in the stable! I have been trying to get the fiance to drive an e38 740i for a while, but the 740i doesn't pass her requirements on two counts.
    1. It gets worse mpg than her mk3 jetta.
    2. They don't come in 5-speed.
She really wanted a 318ti, but the "short butts" are in rare supply and they all the ones that pop up seem to be automatics. So... I found a compromise on craigslist last week.
    Its a 1997 318i, 4 door, 5 speed, with 150,000 miles.
It has a pretty decent maintenance history (It got a new clutch and flywheel in July). Its bone stock, and the price was decent.
It came with a bad final stage unit (heater/ac blower resistor) and a missing driver side mirror cover.
    Well, on to the pics.

Are the grilles just post-96 or are they actually that large in real life? For some reason they look like oversized E46 grilles or something.

          Neat car for the wifey.

yessir. and it makes me want a 4 dr e36 m3 so as soon as I sell my 95 m3 and get my wagon done, I will sell the 328i in favor.

I didn't want to put any money into my 328 if I'm going to sell it. Only did vaders and wheels, and I'm pretty happy with it
