^You painted them didn't you?
You should have used yellow lamin-x.. they're 25% off until the end of December.
As for the volvo lip, it looks a little outta place.
The rest of the car looks great though!
I love the poke and that stance is spot on.
Not painted because that´s just stupid, bought the film from Lamin-X and as for the Volvo lip....it was a 30 min install and a temporary solution. Am using this one until the car gets new paint, am going to either use a new lip or go for a different front.
Shiiii.....been a long time since I wrote anything in this thread :) little has happened with the engine build but that is mainly due to a "divorce" and having to buy new furniture and paying for a new flat to live in :) happy times !
I have however bought a head and valves from Metric Mechanics :) am super happy about the work they do. Some of you have already seen their products and others are using them as well. The head work is a little out of the ordinary but proven to provide HP gains and better fuel economy. I have also bought new wheels and sold them again :) the money will go to Germany where I am buying various parts for the head, camshaft and springs and such.....basically the things needed to close the head and get it bolted to the block. Am posting some new-er pics
The bottom end I bought from an older gentleman, the engine had only done 120K km and still looked very fresh. He sold it cheap because the cam was worn. Then had a local shop do the work needed, the same shop also did the balancing of crank, flywheel and pressure plate. Modified flywheel weighs in at just over 5kg and the pressure plate is a Sachs 618.
The engine I am using still had nice honing marks and was in really good shape except for a worn cam on cylinder #1 due to incorrect valve adjustment.
