The most involved thing I think I've seen on the internet was an engine swap that was done completely under the cover of darkness (city regulations), in some guy's front yard in NYC. It was an Mercedes AMG V8 swap, and the guy doing the swap was a master tech at a dealer, so they did it probably in the same time as this diff swap. jkjkjk :p
With the torque that those top bolts were applied I needed room to see and to use a cheater bar. Took me like 3 hours to get the top bolts off including trips to the hardware store for a 19mm wrench and cheater bar. Then the driveshaft nuts were a whole different story...
Congrats, though. Every time you do something on your car, you learn for the next time how to do things faster. The first time I did a diff swap it took all night. It probably takes an hour and a half for me now, mostly because I work alone and have to toggle the e-brake to torque the output flange bolts myself.Comment

I use a mini 2lb sledge and a cheap 19mm wrench to remove the top bolts. The driveshaft nuts come off a lot easier if you heat them up with a propane torch. The torch probably isn't necessary for a CA car... you just need a hammer and a 16/17mm wrench. :p

Will that help? Both my track and street car have 250k+ mile TA and subframe bushings, and both get wheel hop like crazy, whether I am feathering the throttle in the track car with r-comps or if I do a full clutch drop in my street car with shitty all seasons.Comment

In theory anything you can do to get rid of play in the rear suspension should help. How much it will help I can't really say as I don't have experience in that regard. I just figured replacing the bushings with new or stiffer ones would do the trick or at least help with it.paint sucksComment

Well here is a story for yall....
By an accident was passing by thise shop about an hour away from where i live, seen a sign said: E30 PARTS!
Obviously i had to check it out....got a LSD for 100$ :D and drove off with the biggest smile.
SWAPED IT yesterday, in a garage not outside.....and it was a fukin bitch and a half. Those nuts are so efin hard to take offf i was about to snap. Pretty much it toook 4.5 hours and 6 beers!
But at least i got some decent traction now whoooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!:hitler:
