Update!

So I retarded the cam 4° and while the top end was more potent. I really struggled to find the torque I wanted. It's a street car, so torque is king in my world.

I then advanced 4° to good results, but settled with 6°.

The character of the motor is almost how I would want it.

It hauls really well right through to 7K. Think I will let it sit from here until I finalize my ITB setup.

I am starting fresh, input on this subject would he awesome. Hearing not so good results from shops i trust with RHD ITBs on a m20. Should I build my own? Or choose another option?

Did you take measurements on dyno ? I have had good results advancing the cam with a different cam but others found the opposite so it definitely needs to be tested as you can’t trust your subjective perception. It obviously also depends how the cam was originally installed which might vary but from what I have seen the schrick stuff seems to install advanced at least with the stock cam gear

RHD is the only ITBs that I've heard good things about. You can email them and chat.
