    Possible S14B23 rebuild...

I might be about to embark on a rebuild for this motor. But it's my understanding that certain internal (and may external) parts are NLA. Any help would be greatly appreciated, but just how difficult is this project if I decide to take it on? TIA

Still doable, just expensive. If you think you're going to rebuild it eventually, start buying parts now. Most of the stuff that I put off purchasing has either gone NLA, or way up in price.

Watch the s14 "official" FB group like a hawk, and you'll eventually find everything you need. There is a healthy flow of parts hitting the market currently so it's a solid time to buy.

Chain guides are NLA but can be sourced from DB Tuning, MD Motorsport, and one other company that I can't recall at the moment. Thermostats backordered. A lot of stuff is still available, just expensive.

If your core engine is rebuildable, a stock rebuild isn't terrible. If you end up needing a block/head/crank/cam tray, etc the parts are out there, just pricey.
