Going to start updating this thread again. After tons of research, frustration and trial/error I have gotten the car running on megasquirt. Just working on idle/light throttle tuning right now mostly, but I'll be doing some road tuning this week and hopefully dyno tuning by next week. I've learned so much throughout the process though (still have tons more to learn) and I'm pretty confident my gains are going to be quite substantial, I can already tell that my motor was not running right at all on the motronic.
Cosmetically, still looking pretty much the same:

Hey! I bought an e30 from that driveway. Then sold it 6 months later like a total tool.
Great work so far. I've played around with tuning megasquirt just enough to have a pretty keen appreciation for what it would take to get something running "well." Congrats on that.
Keep the updates coming!pull: '02 F-250 7.3L 6SPD 4x4, Chipped, Straightpiped, BFG MTKM2.
turn: empty stable. lame.

Thanks! Yeah Jamie should've never sold that e30, it was sweet car. He bought an e39 m5 but I wouldn't be surprised to see another e30 in the driveway eventually. The megasquirt has been a huge learning experience, which I knew it would be going into it. The fuel/ign maps look awesome now, but I still have to iron out some minor starting and idling issues. The car also has a 5k rpm break up thats preventing it from making all of the power it should be making. It put down 215/225 as it sits, but I'll probably gain a couple more when I figure out.- '88 m54 coupe
