OK, been awhile since I've posted some pics.
Here's one with a friend's dad's M3 and 5 series... he also has a new X6 but he was driving it at this time.

SOOOO... on to PHASE II of this project... the hardtop. I got it for $575 from an old dude in Chicago and its in great shape and complete.

Developed a saggy headliner this past summer...

...and the stripping of the vinyl fabric begins. The yellow spot is where I sanded the green spray glue off. The fiberglass is silky smooth under that glue, so it won't take much to get a great surface prep.

Stay tuned...Leave a comment:

UPDATE SEPT 27: Today was monumental... drove the car for the first time! My wife is a pilot so got some great pics with her plane before we went flying, and also a chopper that was at the airport. Spent the rest of the day visiting friends and family to show off the car. There was nothing less than gasps when people saw it- none of these people had been following this thread so it was quite a shock. The coolest part was when we went to do a couple errands around the city and EVERYONE was staring at the car. I am thrilled with how it came out. LOTS of work left to do though! On to the pics!

nah if I did it I would do cabrio-specific skirts. I kinda like how it looks now. Last night I painted the weld seam flat black and it looks freakin awesome.Leave a comment:

How about a set of iS side skirts? They would set it off nicely and flow with the front and rear?Leave a comment:
