i let a friend borrow my car because he needed a car for a few hours. then while he had it he fucking went and decided to check it out on the lift saw the head gasket had ssome seepage and then went and retorqued three of the headbolts. when he drove it back to my house coolant had blown out the gasket on the passenger side of the block and now i don't know the extent of the damage. in most ways i don't wanna know. i am so not talking to my friend right now. oh and to make things worse he has no money and no job so i am SOL as far as getting him to pay for it. i think tomorrow i will call the auto parts companies (bmp and pelican) and see who can give me a head gasket and head bolts for cheap or free - i've spent over 1000 at pelican and over 3000 at bmp sosomeone should be able to help. then again pelican sold me the part so i think i'll start there.
frankly i took the post down because it's an unbelievably stupid story that i wanted to post but don't wanna admit actually happened. my friend is so not oon my good side right now and i am so incredibly unhappy. i can't believe something like this could happen.

seepage is a common thing on all new motors. the problem came from my moron friend torquing the headbolts. i had so little coolant loss and 0 oil loss that it wasn't a problem. but torqueing the headbolts especially when the engine was hot was stupid. thats where the problem comes from.
next time you dumbasses wanna try questioning me have your facts straight.
oh and both companies have given me tons of stuff for free, so i wouldn't be suprised if they did thesse for free because of the incredible amount of money i have spent.
oh and ben you need to check yourself. there is no way i am going to listen to your idiocy

$4000 isn't an incredible amount of money. What did they give you for free? Stickers?
And calling us dumbasses isn't going to help make friends on this forum... remember getting banned at bf.c? Is it because you were an overly aggressive, immature person who takes their anger out on whoever offers criticism?

mustangcobra?
have you even read this forum in its entirety?
if you had and comprehended any of it you would have realized that my motor is what would be considered new because of the fact that it was taken back to factory tolerances, and installed brand new everything and had extensive machine work done in order to make my engine new.
furthermore most cars have some seepage not by anymeans a lot but some seepage from gaskets.

Have you read the forum in its entirety? If so, go outside, experience what the sun has to offer, perhaps talk to someone not on the computer.
I'd consider your motor reconditioned, not new, and I might be mistaken (cause I'm not going back to read your posts) but didn't you just take the head to the machine shop? That's hardly a new motor.

Right I'm an idiot. You have a motor that was leaking enough for him to want to do something about it, that is not common on any new or refinished engine I have ever heard of. Then you state that your engine is now shooting out coolent from the HG, you will be lucky if the head and or block have not warped. Oh and before you start calling me dumb and such, I was in the right on my issue I just failed to comperhend the instuctions fully(it only needed an extra 1/8th turn over what I had at the time), I made my mistake, fixed it and learned. Also it is fully possible that the time my car sat without a head that water seeped into the oil causing my issue that way. You really have no idea what I know or where my one major issue with my car stemmed from. I may be young but you continue to prove to all of us here on r3v that a 5 year old with a basic tool set has roughly the same knoweldge as you. It seems half this project has been done by your godfather. You can hardley use grammer correctly. Honestly I'm done bitching with you but just know your a dumbass and we all know it, you thread is for the lulz. Good day sir.
