i let a friend borrow my car because he needed a car for a few hours. then while he had it he fucking went and decided to check it out on the lift.

Was there anything happening for him to want to put it on the lift, or he just did it out of the blue?

my godfather has done almost nothing reguarding my car and engine he has given me a few rides to the parts stores, let me borrow a few tools, and helped brainstorm. grow up and if u don't like me or my thread simple solution stop reading.

my buddy put my car on a lift to do line measurements for the turbo exhaust and to measure for 2 future projects.

What is going on here? The attitudes being thrown around in this thread by multiple noobs who know just enough to be dicks is unbelievable. OP, I would put them on ignore, that way you can get on with your build and not have to deal with all this BS. Just so you know, this kind of attitude from certian members is typical. i think this weekend i will begin teardown and reaassembly i will do pics of the process and of the head i am actually curious of whhat the head looks like having had less than 5000 miles run on it. i am reallt excited to see that much.

oh and i figured i'd mention that i managed to convince a parts ccompany to give me aa head gasket and headbolts for free. i cannot say whom as per the agreement.

transatlantic i figured i'd let you in on at least 1 of the future plans that my buddy was measuring for, there is a guy that owns a racing team not to far from my home his name is CJ rayburn and if you know dirt track racing you know CJ. (check him out http://www.cjrayburn.com/) one day last winter when i was down there he gave my buddy travis and i a tour of the shop (a very serious education) after looking at the underside of one of these cars i noticed something they had in common with a lotu elise - an underbody plate designedd for keeping crap out from under your car in his case and air moving under the car as quickly as possible. so in essence the plan is to build a 3 peice underbody panel that will keep air moving under the car quickly and keep crap from getting into the underside of the car. the measurements taken were in relation to engine bay leuvers and steering components (including tire travel)it looks like i will have to get a new front spoiler because the bottom of my front spoiler is slightly higher than the bottom of the engine but we'll deal with that when we get that far. for the moment the only thing i am really worried about is getting this damn head gasket replaced (hopefully no real damage) then finish the intake then turbo next month and then who knows what i'll do. rest assured i will keep you all in the loop. and more importantly i'll have PICTURES!!!. LOL


i also wanna make note that anyone passing through indiana should totally go check out CJ's shop, one of these days i will go down there and take some pics, it is totally awesome to see what they can and do - do.
there are very few things he can't do at that shop and more importantly very few things he's not willing to attempt you do at his shop. he recently got a machine that can be used to manufacture needle-bearing roller rockers... i have to bring mine over to him so he can look it over but he said there is always a possibilty if he's bored - which is all to often (his own words). would anyone else be interested in something like that??? if so let me know money is a huge motivator and more sets = more likely we get some made for cheaper.


lastly i am curious how most of you folks found my forum and more importantly to those of you who hate it why do u bother to keep reading. why bother wasting your time no matter how much u carade me with insults i will continue to post it is that simple.
