    Let's just be clear that a bone stock 540 would handle better and have more power then any of his turbo plans could ever make, even if they were done right. And it would only cost a few grand...

      Oh, no question. I just don't think you were privy to the original bf.c thread where he basically walked in and was like... I'm gonna do this "psycho m20 build, 3.2 liter, turbo, etc" and just had a lot of contradictory goals. Asking where to get pauter rods for said engine, and not understanding that they weren't necessary because everything else on the engine would be broken long before even a set of Eagle rods would fail. *EVERYONE* told him to just swap an m50 into it, he turned into himself, and well.... there it went.

          I was not privy to that and I'm glad of it. I avoid the bf.c E34 section thanks to all the bad Kate memories... :p

            you all act as if my plans CAN'T be done, i'll grant some probably SHOULDN'T be done because more horsepower could be made elsewhere, BUT I DON'T CARE ABOUT HORSEPOWER ELSEWHERE i care about pushing an m20 to it's limits and seeing what can be done. if you don't like it quit reading

              Meh, you're way more involved in the Kate thing than anyone on bf.c was. Best part of it over there was when she was like... I haz gf now. I said something to the effect of most lesbians being built more like me than her, she posted pics, I was right.

              You're such an idiot. Just because things CAN be done doesn't mean they SHOULD be done. Can you machine and assemble a 3.2 liter m30 engine? Sure, you can have the block bored out, you can have pistons machined and rings fitted. In an NA application you may even be able to get it to hold together. In a turbo application this engine will fail. CAN you build it? Sure, you're a pretty stupid, clueless fucking waffleswaffleswaffleswaffles, but I'd be willing to bet you'll find someone willing to do it for you. SHOULD you do it? It's your fucking money. There's nothing I like more than than rebuilding an engine over, and over, and over again because I'm too fucking retarted to realize an idea is bad.


              Seriously, you're that dumb. I mean there's movies like Forest Gump, where the dude's barely a 6 pack above a lifetime in a rubber room, he somehow has a lifetime full of adventure, and lives out his remaining years in comfort and good health.

                honestly if i wanted power to excesses i would go out and do a LX-x swap twin turbo the fuck out of it build the shit out of the bottem end and be done, or buy a 540 hemi twin turbo the fuck out of it and be done , or call up neslon racing and be done with it, or swap in a 24 valve cummins build the shit out of it and stroke it and be done, all of those will admittedly make way more power than my build no matter what i do and probably be a billion times more reliable but this build is about the m20 and what can be done, do you really think i don't get it? grow up get a life and quit reading if you don't like it

                  what? none of that made any sense.

                  pretty sure you aren't the guy who is going to revolutionize the M20. You don't know who PPF tuning is.. they are the guys who have pushed the m20 to it's limits, and they've already done way more than you will. The dudes doing junkyard builds using diesel turbos probably make more power, more reliably, at a lower cost. and if they happen to blow up their engine, another one is probably sitting in the junkyard for $400.

                          i get junkyard motors for 150

                          the point to all of that was simply to state that i know if i want insane power i know where to go or how to do it - american muscle (peice of shit but they do make power) point being they are reliable fairly cheap and make lots more power than even the best s54. but i don't care about that, i want to see what the m20 can do

                          and i have seen what ppf has done and may end up using some of their parts, but they didn't do everything i am going to do, they didn't push it to the limits, they came close i'll give you/them that much but i am going further, regardless of how you feel. i don't plan to revolutionize the m20 or make it the new it thing i don't plan on seeing folks in the future doing m20 swaps into their e46's but i am going to make some power on my m20 - i don't quite know how much yet but i'll know soon enough.

                            lol those guys have built 900whp M20s, using SINGLE turbos. Good luck getting anywhere close to that.

I am a certified tig welder, and I could have made those beads look better half drunk being punched in the balls. And you really.... REALLY don't wanna try and tuck all that under the manifold dude.... Do what's been done before and mount it high.
