I got the exhaust on, started it up, and the motor knocks like the little drummer boy.
so it's going to be
E28 2.0L M20 in the trash
E30 2.5L M20 in the E28
engine stand S50B30 in the E30.
Now i just need a weekend to do the E30 --> E28 swap.
any updates on the 911?Comment

Sorry for the delayed response gentlemen.
Thanks. I can't wait either.
pics, pics, pics please. You can post them in this thread.
No updates on the 911. A new job and a bunch of side projects have tied up my time. Cold winter, no heat in the garage, and a small house don't help either.
Thank you. We need to try and meet up this summer.
Really Chris? I so despise dark centers, and for some reason it also seems to be "the thing" right now. I can understand painting the centers black if you hate the way your wheels look, but RS's?Anu,
I really think Black or graphite centers are calling your name on the RS'.
Normally I despise black centers on wheels, but I think you could pull it off on the 911.
We'll just keep counting the days until the spring rains come to wash away all this nasty salt on the roads...
Cheers,
-CL
Most Fuchs centers are black, so you are right, the 911 probably could pull it off, but why? I think you're slipping man. ;)
Agreed on the rains washing away the salt. Let's definitely hit the Kancamagus Highway this season!

Just been driving it. I put the BBS RS project for this car on hold, since I have too many projects going on with the E30's.
I received your RS's for the M3 on Friday. Thank you for the quick shipping. I need to find time to get those assembled and on the M3.
Here is a picture of the 911 with 7's on the front:

Trade you another M3 for the Porsche? LOL She's looking nice and pretty,. What event was that Porsche days at MoT in Brookline?Comment

Ha! Don't quite need another M3 yet. If that time ever comes, I would want another alpine.
This was German car day at MoT. I may make it back there for Porchefest on 9/11, but I may be out of town.
Thanks! I did sell the Lachs, swapped M3. I also got rid of the MR2 to make room for the essentially stock 72K mile alpine/cardinal M3 I picked up a couple of weeks ago.

Bumper tape now black

You let that get away? Looks great with the boxed rockers and wheels!

That is a beautiful example of a clean unmolested E30 M3! Congratulations on your new addition. :nice:

Anyways, E30 looks amazing. The porsche is nice, Im just not feelin the front end.Comment

Thanks!
Thanks! I agree with you about the front end. I am not digging it either. It really bothers me how heavy it looks and how far forward it protrudes. I do, however, like it better than the original impact bumper so it will have to do until I can scrounge up enough cash and justify back dating the front end to the pure pre-1974 look. That would be my ultimate goal. I would also do the back to get a sleeker look.
