In this thread i will post updates to my progress on the 86 Eta sedan I recently bought.
Heres a few pics from when i first got it







Plans for it as of now:
Replace head-gasket
Timing belt
Valve adjustment
Get body damage moderately straightened out
Replace front seats
coilovers
Gangsta-tint
Ellips
Tucked bumpers and eventually euros

Unfortunently my vert is in some need of cooling system maintenance right now so that will have to come first.

Things that will be done to the vert before serious work starts on the sedan:
Front aux fan replacement
New thermostat
Fan clutch
Water pump
Valve adjustment
Recharge AC
Replace coolent
Finnaly install my Diamond D6 components that have been sitting in a box FOREVER

As i was removing the old front speakers i discovered that the front speakers have already been replaced buy Boston Acoustics components.



You can see the crossover peeking out there


Interior work was alot easier so this is as far as i got with the motor

Got the crossover and woofer installed on the passengers side today. The Diamond crossover is alot bigger than the Boston one so i had to improvise mounting position. Both Bostons were mounted under the dash. Hopefully tomorrow i will find a wrench big enough to take off fan clutch. Will post pics then too.

So i got the vert back together. Dident take many pics because i was in a bit of a hurry. Did something fun to the sedan over the last few days though. Pics arnt good but you get the idea.

Picked this up at the junk yard yesterday among other things. I think it was out of an E32. Soo many BMWs i cant really remember. Going to try to piece together the whole kit over time.

Really? Damn we were running around that yard soo much i couldn't even remember haha. Plus i dont think we even bothered looking at the front of the car.

This morning JJE30 gave me an idea of somewhere i can continue my plaid theme. I bring you.......Plaid B-pillers!

So your going to do the multiple interior pattern clusterfuck anyway? I told you matt you start doing that shit and your car is going to start looking trashy again. Stick to one pattern. You dont see me throwing in multiple colors of plaid do you?

Why not? Im just sayin dont go scattering a bunch of different interior patterns or it will look like crap. Pick a theme and stay with it.

i didnt see the plaid coming josh, thats pretty sick actually. should get crazy with it and do the centers on your doors. are you planning on painting your seats a different color or leaving it blue? did you glue the rear deck or is it just sitting on there?

Thanks dude. The door centers may be a little more challenging but i may pick up an extra set of door cards and see what i can do. I might try to dye the rear seat but im not too familiar with that stuff. The plaid on the rear deck has been glued on there as well. Right on top of the carpet so it feels soft to the touch.
