      keep all the stock parts

Your project is going to look great. Keep all the stock parts if you replace anything. Put the 323i back on the car.
      gl, and post more pictures:)

Quick question... Do you have and sheetmetal (ie the original valence) underneath your BBS valence or is it just stand-alone? Any pics without the BBS valence?

Yes, it had the metal underneath. The BBS valance didn't attach to it in any way other then the mount points. Right now the metal valance is off the car and I'm slowly stripping the old paint, touching up a spot of rust where the paint rubbed off and repainting it. Once that's done I want to get the lip with brake duct holes and mount it all up.

I'm thinking summer and winter mode or something. I also want to go lower on coilovers but any lower and I'll have to lose the BBS (and possibly the oilpan..), I wouldn't be able to drive down my street, onto the lot at work or a couple of my favorite roads.

I'll get photos of it mounted as soon as I can, as well as all the other photos people have requested.

Half mounted and poorly painted, if I decide I like it (which I'm pretty sure I do) I'll properly strip it and paint it the real color, not rattle can white. I also need a new bumper and trim. Rear bumper is off being cleaned up. I also want CO plate laws changed so I can get rid of the ugly ass plate holder.

Lookin' good. By getting rid of the plate holder, I hope you don't mean the one on the front bumper. Just put a euro plate in it like it deserves, at least for pictures.
                Are those 14" or 15" RA's?

                  Don't toss that front plate:)

When you go to sell it....:) Someone is going to want that front plate, so keep it in a safe place. Even if you don't like it, that is a part people are looking to see on that car...just my 2cts:).

They are 14'', not sure how much I trust them as much as I like them. They have 220k on them and have been powercoated at least 2 times according to my receipts and my understanding is the heat weakens them.

Keep going man. We are on the same path. Mine is getting mechanical work sorted out first.

Not a really anything else I could do mechanically aside from swapping an engine in or replacing suspension/drive line parts that have less then 20k miles on them.

I would drive it cross country as it is with no worries, it's just rusty with a crap interior.

You could take this thing to firestone and they wouldn't find anything wrong.:p

                            Car diagnostics 101.

If your thermostat looks like this, it's broken.

What method did you use to clean the rear euro bumper up? I have one that is in need of it as well.

LOL at the noobster. This car isn't your run of the mill US e30. I also have a federalized german driven e30.....but with 2 extra doors/bronzit/m10. Mine has some rust also as expected but I got to admit not as bad as this. Kudos to you for saving this "diamond in the rough" so to speak.

Well, at this point I am considering parting it out, I'm gonna need another knee surgery soon and that will be quite expensive.

If I were to part it out, what sort of price should I ask for various parts? It's something I REALLY don't want to do, but given the choice between a working knee and a very awesome car...

It currently couldn't be driven away, as I removed the whole exhaust from manifold back to make way for a new one right before I found out I don't have an ACL, LCL or meniscus so I never got around to ordering a new system.

If you live in the front range area and are interested in something, shoot me an offer.
