    Project Eurotrashed

Just wanted to start a thread to compile pictures and progress.

    INFO:
I go through cars like a girl does clothes. I've decided to work on my addiction, and just stick with one. Ironically, it's the worst condition car in my history. After a few rb swapped 240's, an mkII jetta vr6, a euro 1979 635csi with 50,xxx miles on it, and an FC rx7 I decided to stick with my current daily, a '93 Sc300. After 4 days of ownership, allllll my lug studs snap and I almost lose a wheel while driving. PO decided to force the wrong lug nuts on. Not willing to spend a few hundred $$ on misc. bullshit, I traded the SC for this:

    1986 325i grey market

The car is rough. I'm on a tight budget, so this will be a long, slow build. The motor runs tits, and it doesn't leak. So it's a good start.
    ...until you look at it....

    When I got it:

Removed the kit. As you can see, the PO welded a bunch of excess metal to mount the Reiger kit. A decent portion of rust was revealed in the removal process, so it was all knocked out and sealed for the time being.

Removed all the stickers, put on the type A's, and mounted the euro bumper back on.

Shadowlined, finished the front bumper, and mounted the lip. Also borrowed a buddies euro plate.

also had the exhaust re-welded. I hit a man hole cover and broke the welds on the hangers.

Another day, another man hole cover. Sadly, the part that makes me the most mad is that I just changed the drain plug out for a new one.

                    DAMAGE:

                    lower radiator hose
                    sway bar end link
                    oil pan
                    fan shroud

While I was down there I noticed a rust issue. I had never been underneath THIS portion of the car, so I never noticed.

The OP painted the underside without sanding before, so the rust is over-dramatized. It has been sealed temporarily and will be taken care of when funds are available.

New parts are on order and will hopefully be here Wednesday.

I've been contemplating getting rid of the euro's in favor of PB's. I want an updated look I think. If not, I would have. Didn't you have fitment issues though?

Either way, fixing it is top priority. I'm not sure if I want to fill the side markers for now or just replace both front fenders. The driver side is an obvious replacement.

                      Decisions, decisions....

I'm looking for a rolling 2 door PB'd car to transfer all the good parts over to. But honestly, besides the fender and some decent time investment the car is alright.
