The catback came in the mail....

The oval tip looks really long, it better not stick out too far, from the looks of another pic i saw, doesn't seem to be a problem.when installed. I never thought I'd spend some much for an exhaust system...$437 catback,$150 hi flow cat, $190 headers + paying a shop to weld it all up for me... ~$300. over 1000$, ah! i need to not think about these things.

    It's all worth it right?

Got it back, Sounds GREAT! Not loud, but you can hear it :) freeway cruising doesn't drone whatsoever, i actually can't even hear the exhaust note, only engine. I'm so happy, highly recommend the Scorpion exhaust, very high quality, also, if you need a good exhaust guy, Louie @ Exhaust Specialist in Burlingame is great, and inexpensive. I'll make a video when i take my car for a drive with my gopro/suction cup mount.

Yesterday I replaced my injectors with cleaned/rebuilt m50 injectors. Also, replaced the coolant temp sensor....idle is better, code 1215 is no longer there, only for my oxygen sensor which is coming in the mail. It only cost me 30$ shipped, and its from a ford e-350 with a 16" lead that I'll splice into my old o2/plug, I hope its long enough to reach my o2 bung.

Big Update!!!! Did a valve adjustment, installed 8mm IE Ignition wires, and also got my car tuned and dyno'd!!! I think I got some pretty good numbers for a car with nearly 297k on the clock. Considering I started with 121 crank hp, my budget stroker build has definately paid off. Anyone know what a stock supereta puts down to a dynojet? prob like 100whp?
                    Onto the pics,
                    Ignition wires....

iPhone snapshot that I came up on after parking my car there to refill my water jug.

                    Sub Box...

                    Pic on the dyno

Video of getting my car to temp and a dyno pull.

                    And the results!!!!

163whp/156wtq. Still some left, tuner believes he can pull 2-3 more out from ignition timing, I only got 2 hours on the dyno and messed with the fuel maps and hardly touched ignition.
And super suprised with my mpg's from San Fran ---> San Jose commute.

And a toy I'm gonna have some fun with this summer :)

Oh, and the first run was my first pull (no tuning), red was final tune...well until I can afford more time on the dyno, gotta pay rent! haha.
And a shout out to DynoSport Racing in SJ,CA. Lawrence is the man, and knows the Miller set up well.

Wow that's a lot of power to put down. I wonder what my car would do on a dyno..probably less than 100 lol.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Very impressed! Good build. Good thread. Nice attitude.

Been looking at picking up a POS Jet Ski to have some fun with. Gotta get the track car built first! I'm also gonna be building a stroker 2.7i. Did you have the head checked out by a machine shop or anything or did you just throw a head "refresh" kit at it and call it good?

Trying to decide what route I want to take. Cost VS. Longevity/Reliability is killing me. I don't want to spend a lot because i'm going to beat the car up on the track but at the same time I don't want it to explode after one lap. Thoughts and opinions? Great build dude!
