Sorry guys, this will most likely be my last post on this build thread. I'm gonna let the new owner take over. As said in the previous post I bought a m60 for this car and that turned into some bullshit where I waited for 2 months for my motor...got fed up and kinda took it out on the e30. Sold it to a friend who will most likely swap the motor which is all it really needs...I got a v8 the legal/easiest way... I've been wanting on of these things since they came out in Highschool.

So last pics of the e30, with my NEW to me car. (Remember I am a chevy guy originally, this e30 gave me the BMW bug).

I will be continuing my m20 turbo 2002 build...I'll start a new thread. I'm not totally leaving you guys :)

    Oh yeah, I bought a v8/5 speed for the supereta, cuz it wasn't "S U P E R" enough.

Turbo is for the 2002/built 2.9L m20. To clarify.

Slow progress...been working a lot, so lazy. But some serious purchases have been made :)

    Where do we start?

Storm trooper is gonna kick it off with a turbo!

    Hx35w 7-blade. Apparently the best flowing hx35. Comes with a 12cm^2 exhaust housing. from a 99-01 manual 5.9 cummins.

I will be removing the wastegate. Welding the flap shut, rebuilding it, and polishing the compressor housing.

Also ordered a inch-lb torque wrench, and calibrated my Mac 1/2" 30-250 ft-lb torque wrench. Never got a chance to work on cars with my Grandpa because of his early death, but he was a great mechanic and this was his torque wrench. This thing is older than me. Still works and was in damn near perfect calibration.

I am honored to build my first engine with it.

    Butterz says hello.

Finally purchased Bimmerheads valve springs. I can finally assemble my head :)

    11mm socket/extension does the trick

Using the valve compressor i bought.

    Step one down!

    JeLLy -_-

After the lube/foreplay, I stuck 'er in.

I got lazy and stopped there.

But i did take advantage of Blunt's 150$ deal on the euro trim :)

And my gf has converted :) She is already a Beemfiend. She's already listing mods she wants for her new to her Gray Green 02 325i 5-speed. With only 75k miles.

Sadly, it has already been hit & run by a crackhead on a bicycle already but insurance is taking care of the 4200$ damage. Her car should be back in action early january in even better condition than it was.

Been super busy at work. 50+ hrs a week. Just been stock piling parts, until my rack decided to blow its seals!

Old vs reman'd e46 purple tag 325i rack. (apparently the fastest of e46).

It feels great!! haven't put the PS back together. just needs the belt and fluid. Its a GREAT mod to do. Same as e36 swap but had a couple little minor tweaks needed.

Modified Steering knuckle. For some reason I had to drill out one side of the nuckle so the bolt/spacers would fit.

I also picked up a 6pt. roll bar. I think it looks awesome. And the door bars give me a little more safety feelz. Everything else you can't even see/know its there.

The next question is what color cage? I can't decide between black or orange. Black would be better to resell if i do, but orange i feel would look bad ass, but give more attention to cops.

My main focus has been on getting 02 parts though, until the cage came along and rack started leaking.
Heres some pics of my kidneys that I polished up and repainted the black parts. Still need to tape off and repaint the grills.

    The grills....

    The whole set...

Also got the rear strut brace with battery relocation kit to the rear. Which, also has a "kill switch".

And last but not least...a 1 of 3 Miller Performance ceramic coated T3 Turbo adapter.
It's definately better than all the ebay stuff. Seems to be high quality/heavy gauge material.

I just wish it had a wastegate.

Also picked up another getrag 260 and driveshaft from a buddy after parting out his car. He then threw in 3 free borbets. So i brought that all home after tearing a crashed e30 down to nearly nothing in 1 day.

    Little Update...

Pic after using the tapered wiseco ring compressor (85mm), soo much easier than those stupid allen key ones.

Connected the rods and painted the block and put new freeze plugs in.

Then I decided to see how the 225's hook up launching my car at 3kish. Mistake.

But Im back on the road and she's solid! No rubbing! So Happy. 310k miles now.

You know your addicted to your e30's lines when you take selfies while driving. This is oddly, my favorite part of my e30. I'm weird. haha.

Starting my big boy job soon at Applied Materials in Santa Clara. So my car game is gonna step up cuz I'll be working full time and have gotten quite a pay increase :)

    More to come.

No issues but most cops also don't expect an E30 to have something like that going on.

Please I don't drive it that much. 8)
