I got this project here in the garage. Finished up J's swap and this moved in on the same day it left.
Its a 91 318is thats getting a M20 swap. The motor is ripped down to bare block and everything is at the machine shop getting work. Head is getting a full rebuild. The intake, VC, timing covers and some other parts are getting hot tanked. Most likely they will get powder coated some color.
Figured since all of that was out and we had time this weekend to mess around it would be a good time to spray the engine bay to clean things up a bit.
Sorry for all of the photos. I guess its good to share right?
So anythings, When the car showed up it had no motor in it. This is what it looked like.

Took the time to spray some cleaner on the panels and let it sit for a good 30 minutes.

Look, after an hour of scrubbing the panels. Thanks to Jason I might add. The engine bay is clean.

But not clean enough for our liking. So some of the brackets not needed was removed. 3 of us sanded the bay down to make sure it was ready for some fresh paint and then it got masked off.

A little sealer primer to make sure everything came out nice..

Then it was time to let the color fly.

Now after the color flashed it was time to shoot the clear.

Now with all "most" of the tape pulled off.

Ok, So today I got most of the engine bay back together. Took most of the day to do it since I had to be safe not to scratch the paint. I only let it bake for an hour with the heat up to 95.

I love fresh paint. How about you guys?
Id like to take the time to thank Jason, Travis, Jasons girl and my girl for all of there help today.
