I agree that POR-15 makes a good barrier as well as fighting rust. Putting it over rust free paint on an area you won't want to keep checking and can't oil is a great idea.

While the weight of the trunk tar is good for traction, lead is better in places as low and far out as it can go. You'll get more traction with less weight, and once the swap and work is complete you can weight it up while on a four point scale to really get it balanced.. even with you in the car.

Not much of an update, been super busy with holiday stuff and its been kinda cold. Here is the suspension... possibly wheels too... not sure if i want to spend money for the tires to make them fit instead of going with something bigger (m-pars, style 5's or style 32's etc)

Looks like it will be amazing once finished. Good luck, long way to go, POR15 sounds a bit overkill?

Im not pulling it for the weight, im pulling it to coat it with por15. That tar holds in alot of moisture because it gets small cracks all through it. Leaves lotsa places for water to just stay there and wreak havoc on your metal.

I would leave the tar in the car. To be honest it isnt worth the trouble to pull it and the extra weight over the rear is nice for traction.

Well, it is a metal treatment that stops rust on already rusting metal. However, i dont have any rust. I may choose to just paint over whats already there and using it like a waterproof topcoat or i may chemical strip, im up in the air about that right now.

Well then the POR15 would stick, but it is a metal treatment, not a paint treatment.
