Yep. Daimondschwarz. I will quit thread whoring now. It's beginning to look promising. Vinyl wrap should be good until you do a respray. Are you going to sand and primer the roof before you vinyl?

If you are on rails, you are not going fast enough . . . .

Definitely going to sand and primer. Now I just have to figure out what I want to do up there...

There will be no respray. This car has 32 year old paint, which in about 75% of the car, is still in amazing shape. It's just buried beneath years and years of dirt and contaminants.

I ran those E21 wheels for years on one of my old rabbits. then powdercoated them like that for a buddies rabbit. You might need a 3 or 5mm spacer up front to clear the calipers (or an angle grinder) and of course 10 - 15mm spacers in the rear to even out the track width

Thinking 175/50/13's? I have a decent set here in eugene that will be up for grabs soon.

What will that tire size look like on that wheel? Got any pics? How much you want for 'em?

13X5.5" with a 175/50 will look like this

The problem is you have to go really low to pull it off. Like oil pan scraping, control arm mount dragging low

But it is the size that most folks are used to seeing on a rabbit anymore.
The only 175/50/13 avaliable in the states is the Sumitomo HTR200 I would probably let my set of four go for $75. I was just going to mount them on these when I try and sell them

If there was a 195/50/13 avaliable here I that would be great. I always ran 205/60/13's but I am old and like the look of a lot of tire.

Those gold E21 wheels are for sale right now as well (another set of my old wheels) $400 with 1500 mile tires.

That sounds good. Let me know man, I can sprint over there and pick them up.

So I had the dashboard sitting in the car with the heater while it dries the rest of the car out, and I just took it out to clean and condition it. I used Windex to get the initial layer of dirt off, and the rag came out looking like I soaked up a mud puddle. Then I saturated the whole dashboard in Griot's vinyl and dash protectant, and wiped it down, and within a few minutes, it was literally dry again. The dashboard drank the damn protectant. I'm going to go spray some more on and let it soak in for a bit.

I had a 84 GTI. But it was long gone before I got to license it. Had a built engine, TT cams, headers and some wonky ass high compression bottom end.

                              Thanks for the reminder, dad.

I'll try not to hit a crub or fents with my whip.

                                What's a crub?
