Finally got around to putting on the AB knee bolster, Since my dash was a 91' and so was the center console all I needed was the lower column surround and it was on. Going to be buying all new bumper surrounds for the front and rear and then hopefully with my tax return I'll be able to buy a set of Kevin's front seat kits to match my rear seat.

what do you mean lower column surround? you mean the cover for the steering column? and was there really any issue with putting a late model dash and knee bolster on an early model car? ive been looking around to find out info on this and couldnt find it anywhere. my dad has a late model e30 and i always wondered.

After tearing down the motor to a short block to inspect everything and replace seals / gaskets I noticed that it had both # 5 and #4 valve seals leaking ever so slightly so off to the machine shop it went. I had them pressure test, resurface, 4 angle valve job and put the new seals in. It tested good and all the valves seated nicely besides one so i figure might aswell make it perfect while off the block. I'm glad that I brought it to the machine shop as the cam had a slight bend to it, I figured something was up when it was hard to turn by hand. Thankfully it only had a few hours of run time and nothing was destroyed by this, they were able to hone it out. I don't think I will put another performance cam back into the car, probably just going to return it back to a new stock "i" cam with all new shafts and rockers.
Upon pulling the head off, there was slight carbon buildup but nothing out of the ordinary that some oil wouldnt take off. Cross hatching is still very visible wtih no scoring or scratching present.
In the mean time I found a 325es spoiler FS, and bought it. I got the spoiler and the valance both in perfect condition minus the paint. I plan on putting it on with the is rear spoiler
