My old car(ver1) was a slicktop and the new one has a sunroof. I also swapped over some of my old parts from ver1 such as the RMs and MT1 spoiler which is why it looks almost identical.

Spring is here and I'm finally done with school so its time to start working on the E30!

In storage for the past year at my parents house.

Some of the parts I've collected over time.

                Brand new MHW's! Thanks Nico!

Pulling out the panels and some of the interior...

                Byebye black interior

                Sparco harness bar test fit..

                Fuh Raze mode :giggle:

Removed grills, kidney, headlights and trim off the bumpers...

Installed MHWs and euro plate filler.

It was semi hot so I decided to remove my tint. I tried the garbage bag trick at first but later found out that the tint was strong enough to just peel off without cracking or damaging it.

                Bye Bye tint

                Much better!

Slapped on my front euro trim and smoked kidneys.

Replacing the passenger side door lock. Looks like someone tried opening the door with a screwdriver...

                Old vs. New

                Old cylinder and tumblers removed.

                New stuff

                Tada!

Started working on the sound system and decided to tackle the rear parcel shelf first...

Old dirty shelf with custom speaker delete lol

                Initial mock-up

Opened up the hole abit for the 6x9's

Trimmed the sides of the spacer so they will fit alot better. Thanks cjdontthink for the tip!

I was able to move it about a half an inch closer after trimming the side. This allows it to drop in place without hacking up the rear sheet metal.

Final results after using 2 cans of that fabric spray. Not bad!

Quick test fit of the rear parcel shelf. Perfect fit!

                Ran wires for the 6x9's

Mounted up the front speakers and ran new wires also

                Luke's world famous 10inch box getting prep'd.

Drilled out a hole for the amp wires

                Nice tight fit! <3 Luke!

                What a mess....

Removed the stock outer door sills.

                New clips from the junkyard.

                Bling Bling!

                Interior almost done.

                Back to the exterior...

Threw on the smoked headlights, smoked turn signals and euro grill.

Got the rear euro trim on also

                Almost done!

Mods, please move this thread to project section. Thanks in advance!

                RIP

Man, everything you've done looks awesome! I'm lovin it.

My only gripe, the rear plate setup. It would look so much cleaner without the Euro plate.

                          Looks great man!

Did the 6x9's fit underneath that shelf without an issue? I want to get rid of my box completely so that I just have 5.25 components and 6x9's in the back. I track the car more often now so I don't feel like disconnecting and reconnecting my sub box/amp each time.

What part numbers did you use for the lock cylinder rebuild? Are they universal for driver and passenger? I'm in the same boat right now, seeing as how my entire driver's lock pulls out with the key...

Thanks! Yea I was thinking of removing the europlates also. It makes the mhw's flow with the euro filler a lot better without the euro plate there.

Yeah the Alpine covers are a bit too much for my taste also and they will get replaced as soon as I find some better covers.

Thanks! I love cloth sport seats also. Much softer then the vinyl seats that were previously in there.

Yup, it was tight but they fit without any issue. I just had to trim the spacers to get them as close to the edge on the shelf as possible. blueapplesoda is running the same speakers but without the spacer and he carved up a hole in the rear to make them fit.

Nope they are different. Driver side is a 8 cylinder lock and Passenger/rear is a 7 cylinder lock.

                              Driver side - 51 21 9 061 343
                              Passenger/rear doors - 51 21 9 556 313

From what you posted, it sounds like you also need the C clip that holds the cylinder in place.
