I don't think I've ever desired an M3 as much as I do now. Awesome car. What color is that? -
And then I bumped into a set of BBS RC0090 I just had to buy. Started the job on them on saturday, and will continue this week. There is not as much work on these as on the RS'.
When I picked them up

Paint remover on the lips to get off the clear coat

After some hours of cleaning with steam and paint remover the clear coat was gone!

So, started off with filing some stains on the lips and sanding. This will continue during the week!

I got a set of BBS RS in 5x112 that I'm restoring! They will be sold when I'm done with them. Just a side project to earn some money.

Lips was toasted, so new lips had to be bought.

Blasted all the parts and delivered them for paint

Long time no see! Since last time the car have been on the Nürburgring again and had some more upgrades.
Fitted Ground Control top mounts front and rear, these things are awesome!

On the jetty, waiting for the catamaran to Denmark. About 3am here!

In Denmark we went to a Zoo...so...I photographed the car

On our way to Köln i Germany, on the autobahn
In the land of the cars, they have 102 octane pump gas

In the parking under the hotel in Köln. Actually met up with a Canadian S14.net member here!

E30M3 owners drink Warsteiner beer

On the Nürburgring there was not less than two M3 GTS that day!

Scaffolding in the back

GF did a lap on the Nürburgring as well!

Some autoX prictures. Chrome kidneys suits the car well I think!

Doing changes to the brake fluid reservoir, going remote 2002 reservoir.
So a bracket needed to be made.
First I made a dummy in thin plate at home and took it to work and made it in thicker alloy. Bended in a vice with a wrench.

Going to be fixed like this

Then there needed to be nice finish on the bracket, instead of painting it black I went with the more tidy bling look to suit the strut bar

Why you don't build one "Norway spec" car then? :) Parts are cheap in US & A!
Thanks man! Like to put a personal touch on things. Stickers are designed by me to fit the curving of the rims, and handed over to a friend that works with graphic designs. Idea is stolen from the internet ;)
Had to use the last drop of paint I had :) Glad you like the project, continue to watch this thread. I will post pictures more often if there is much interest of the thread.
In fact, I don't have anything... I have borrowed a ESAB Mig from a friend this winter, a lathe we have at work and a good friend of mine is a very talented CNC operator. Painting I have never tried unless it is a spray can :D
I can add that I autoX the car on monday and had the all over best results!! I had the 1 place in class two modified cars, first place in the best heat time and first place of all three classes compared to each other.
Behind me I had a Lotus Exige on semi-slicks and a Opel Speedster, there was also a EVO8 on semi-slicks. I run the car as it is on the street. 18" with crappy stretch and Toyo T1-R at front and Nankang rear.Leave a comment:
