See what he did there? I see what I did there...

Subscribed. Looks like a very nice transplant recipient and donor. I'm always on the fence about e36 M3's... love/hate. Regardless, an e30 with that S50B32 stuffed into it's engine bay always looks like pure awesome-ness. Good luck and keep us updated.

    P.S.

Love your garage setup! How cold's it get in there?

The only thing wrong with it was that it is a E36:-D I drove the car home on monday, only rust is some bubbles over the windshield. She is a English girl and I payed about $11200. It is a better deal for me, because only engine and tranny would cost $7700.
It has rolled around 95000miles. And pulls like a train!! :-)

Anyway, did spend time cleaning and tidy the garage today so there will be easy to work tomorrow. Have started taking down the exhaust.

Probably there will be more pictures during this weekend.

    Cheers

Please tell me that E36 was undrivable. I know nobody on r3v really likes E36s, but to have its engine ripped out just because it's got some gaudy wheels seems a bit much. I think the S50B32 cars are all worth saving.

Awesome project, I look forward to your progress. How many miles on the motor and tranny?

What was wrong with the E36 M? To part a running driving car seems drastic when you could have purchased a front clip from England.

    Are they that cheap now?

I have to give the engine a make up and a service. It needs a good wash and paint on the valve cover, the A/C pump will also be deleted and a JBR/ClutchMasters package will be bought from Bimmerworld I hope.

Yesterday I got all the wires I need out of the car and the EWS as well. Did put her abeam in the garage and got her on jack stands. Did clean the floor as well.

I hope I get the engine out this weekend, and I will mount tires on my new OZ Mito1 :D Then the oil pan will be sendt off to welding.

Hi! Don't know if everyone here has seen my E30M3, but she is getting a S50B32/6-speed swap this winter :D

I have indeed been one of the guys saying that my S14 will never be swapped for a big in line 6, but things change as time pass on.

I have bought a complete RHD 98 model E36M3 coupe that I will be parting out for this project. I will use the engine, transmission and brakes.

So, here are my pictures and comments are welcome.

    Hood is off!

Set her up on the jack stands and cleaned the floor a bit for under car work

Gearbox had to come out first

And here it goes, with good help from a little girl

    Out! Pretty small thing though

So, I now need something new here...hmmmh!
