    Thanks man.

PS eff that pressure washer hose. It has like half a roll of duct tape holding it together and it's still spraying all over me.

Thanks for posting up the pics, Darin.

Funk found me a cam-locking tool, so I should have the head on Monday... another update will follow soon after as I'm pretty much waiting on that before I can do much more assembly.

          Awesome!

Doing an excellent job on making the engine look great.

I'm looking for an M42 to rebuild this fall for my car.

Good luck finishing up the project.

Nice job Ken, very quality work. Curious on what the machine shop had to say about the flex honing or if it was even worth it.

He immediately said, "looks like you ran a dingle-ball through it."

He said I probably wouldn't have had any oil seepage through that one tiny score, but I figured I have them hone it since I was already there.

He said I could have just put new rings on and dropped the pistons in as is after the flex hone.

                      Updates:

I'm still waiting on the O-ring for the oil filter housing to come into the dealer, so it's been holding me up a bit.

I borrowed a cam lock tool, so I was able to get the head on and everything.

With all the timing parts in and assembled. The cam gears are new bc mine were toasted. The crank gear and idler gear both looked great still.

How it sits in my garage right now (shitty cam phone pic at night):

Looks like a super clean build. I want to go that route when I rebuild my M50.
