Yip I paint it myself cause I’m a sucker for punishment. But then again if I didn’t paint it, it wouldn’t get painted.
That’s the e46 boaster. It bolts through the firewall to the e46 column/pedal bracket.

Are you painting it yourself? It's looking great in pictures

This process has not gone very smoothly at all but I’m starting to see some progress.

Damn 9 years, hard to believe! And the car still looks as good as ever from the shitty picture haha. Solid update though, I feel whole again seeing an update on this car. Nice to see something positive amid the shit-storm that 2020 has been so far.

ID:	9901636 Fuck me. Started this thread 9 years ago haha.

Anyway, Dragged this outta the weeds where it had been sitting for a couple of years.
Cleaned it and chucked some new gas in it and a battery. Started it up no drama and took it for a short run up the road.
Had forgotten what a laugh it is to drive. But the tyres had turned to plastic so behaved like a drunken monkey. Got some tyres onto a set of wheels I’d had hanging around for a few years but was too weary of them rubbing to use before, but thought fuck it, they’ll do for a hoon down to Leadfoot in Feb.
And they do rub but meh.
Then it sprang a leak in the radiator. Bugger.
But if that’s the worst thing that happens I’ll call it a win.
Got a renewed interest in it so as soon as I get the shed built I’ll rip it to bits and rebuild it to fix all the things I rushed or don’t like about it.

    Hvac??

I know it has been a number of years since this thread was started but I am undergoing a M54B25 swap on my E30 and am keeping as much of the e46 stuff as possible. Do you have any more info or remember how you fitted the HVAC unit. It seems like its just too big to make it fit?

Amazing project btw it has helped me a lot so far in my own.

    Thanks
