Seriously though, gray is a good idea for a lot of components so you can see leaks easier.

That makes total sense but my boss's track car is gray already so I want to go for something else equally light but more gaudy. Gotta express that young energy while I still have it!

I haven't made any progress lately so I decided to take a trip over to the body shop and see how they were doing. My car is in it's final primer now and should be blocked out and painted by sometime next week. Note the wheel fitment, my fenders are about 2" wider then they used to be. 8-) I hesitate to call it a true widebody but it's sure not stock anymore...

I love the contrast between the old wheels and the new wheels. Contact patch anyone?

On another note, I decided to do my subframes and such in a bright Orange today but then quickly undecided that when I was flipping back through newman's thread and saw he already did that. Now I'm leaning towards purple or something...?

Nice to see you're starting something new Brendan! :pimp:

Love the wheel choice, and those 245s should grip pretty nasty.

Any plans for turbo or SC, or maybe some cams?

Did you have them fill that seam below the tail lights? Is there a reason why people don't do that?

Current plan is to get everything solid and running on the old motor configuration but I'm trying to build the car to handle some more power in the future. Hence the wheels/tires and the reinforced subframe.

I didn't ask for that specifically but it looks like it's being done already... I imagine no one thinks about it until it's too late?

So before we get to the proper update on the new car here are a few photos of my old white car coming apart:

And of course, the mandatory crush video:
