hmm. I like this thread... and you're a new englander..so I automatically like you.
and your welds aren't too small...people are on crack. as long as it has good penetration it's fine. big welds are usually to make up for bad welding. or, it's just a huge gap

Haha, thanks! As for the welds, it's both...

More of that to come once I find my trailing arms...

when welding the trailing arms, i'd highly suggest making a jig...actually, I wouldn't do it without a jig. and try and set the heat as low as possible.
those things are really easy to warp.

I'm just reinforcing my sway tabs and MAYBE adding an M-Coupe-style cross brace but I'll keep that in mind!

here's a tip. set the wire speed to wherever you're comfortable, obviously the faster the wire the faster you have to move and in turn it's harder to control. I'd try and keep the wire speed low and the heat not to hot and not too cold, you're mig welding(that's what it appears to be anyways) it'll sound like bacon sizzling. anyways. if with the swaybar tab reinforcement; if you're welding right the pool(molten metal/filler) will push for you. try and pouse on the edge(not directly on it.) for a second or two before before filling a gap.

Nope, and I still regret that. Oddly enough it's because I need some extra shocks though, not because I need the bumper. We usually have a few bumpers around.

Thanks! I usually warm up on some scrap until I feel like I'm good to go, I figure it lessens the chance of fucking up my good parts.

I found my trailing arms so next week I'll tear into them and see what happens.

6 piston setup, of the same brand I would assume.

Nah, a hybrid Massive Race setup. 4-piston Superlites and 12.72 x 1.25" rotors. The rears are 12.2" and they look small. I love it!

Sadly the headers are getting wrapped and/or ceramic-coated but I wanted to stare lustily at their shinyness for a little while first
