Got my bar mocked up
21 mm convertible sway bar
Powdercoated in a lime green shade similar to st sway bars
Ireland Enginnering adjustable links
Ireland Enginnering poly bushings and mounts

I installed the race skids cross brace.
I was suprised that it didn't interfere with my e30 motowerks skid plate there is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch clearance between the 2
I wish there was a little more clearance for a socket on the bolts near the lollipop

my goal was to get my sway bar parallel to the ground

the stock length for Ireland engineering adjustable end links in the shortest position
is still too long and causes the sway bar to sit upwards at static ride height
(DISCLAIMER) this only is a problem if your using a factory sway bar.
if you use a IE aftermarket bar the bolt hole on
the sway bar is in a different location AND "SHOULD" WORK FINE


the reason I chose the factory 21mm convertible sway bar, was from my research
it wouldn't cause any interference issues with the Race Skids Cross brace.
While a 22mm or larger bar may interfere.


so I cut the link 0.375 of an inch of both ends.

i used a head bolt washer between the subframe and the Ireland plate

you can really see how far from being parallel it is.

Here is a picture after cutting 3/4 of an inch off
You can see some improvement
But it's still not parallel

I broke my glovebox handle:x
In my previous e30 it came with a euro glovebox handle and it was pretty sweet.
I decided to get one, they are only 22bucks.
I ripped of the old handle to get access to break into the glovebox to replace the latch

a few months ago i broke the plastic clip on the cruise control bowden cable where it get attached
the throttle linkage bracket on the intake manifold.
I didnt really care because I rarely use the cruise control i mainly do street driving.
The system does not weight that much so I decided to keep it and fix it.
A special order at irvine bmw and with the bmwcca membership total cost was 29 bucks.
I used this diy to replace it.

new cable

its pretty straight forward
remove 3 8mm nuts holding the mounting bracket
remove 7 small flat blade screws
gently pry the cover off with out damaging the rubber o ring gasket
with pliers lift up the brass piece that keeps the red gear from rotating
carefully remove the flat brass coiled spring
lift the red gear up
DO NOT REMOVE THE BLACK RUBBER BAND
pry the old hose with a flat head screwdriver
remove old hose
install new hose.

I also did a wire tuck for the cruise control, you can not see the wiring once installed
