Yep. Moved to a high rise - sold the 1600, too. It's been nice thus far. I'll have a 2002 again in the near future.

Engine is back in...turbo just fits...very close to the steering linkage. I have pretty stiff motor mounts so it shouldn't move at all.

Started on the turbo to IC piping. Taking a break for lunch then I will start on the other side, which is only one bend.

Here are a couple pictures. IC pipe will be painted black. MAF and intake will come up right below the IC piping and the BPV will tie into the two of them.

A little more done...exhaust is almost there. I need two more mandrel 45s...hoping to have them tomorrow.

I still need to fully weld the turbo to IC, but first I need to fit the BPV once I take car of the turbo inlet piping.

            It is getting close....

Here are a couple more pictures.

Getting closer. Exhaust is all tacked up, just need to add a couple hangers for a bit more support and then I can pull it down to fully weld it.

Not sure on an exhaust tip yet... What do you all think?

haha yeah I think the snows are not going to work out so good when I get on it. Debating going with a lighter spring and an EBC so I can turn the boost way down in the winter.

I got the IC pipes back today. Best $25 I have spent on the build. Amazing how nice they look powder coated.

I painted the exhaust with some VHT seeing that it is aluminized steel. I started to extend the MAF wires to the passenger side. Just need to re solder them to the harness. Mounted the catch can which will also draw off a valve in the exhaust.

All that is left to do is...
                Put the exhaust back on
Put the IC and piping in
                Install radiator
Hook up the gauges...seeming to be slow with this. Still not sure where to mount the PLX and where to pull power from.
                Fluids
                install hood
                and start

Getting closer by the day. It should be running this weekend.

                A few pictures.

I'm jealous of your welding and lift for making exhausts. Excellent job!!

For some reason I like fairly industrial looking straight cut tips on turbo cars. Just a subtle sign that this car is about performance not style.

I decided to go with the slant cut...it matches the bumper a bit better.

A small update.... Got the IC in and charge pipes in, radiator is hooked up, maf lines are extended and hooked up.

All that is left is to re mount the exhaust and wire up the PLX gauges.

                    a few more pictures....

Looks great. I plan on turbo in the future, considering the bottom mount, but have yet to see an e30m50 with the TCD or SPA bottom mount setup.

Its alive!!! Everything sounds really good....not seeing any leaks.
The starter I have seems to be bad tho.... it only engages half the time. Turn key...and it just spins, turn key again right away and then it engages and cranks the engine.

Idles nice at around 900rpm. Exhaust is very quiet at idle. Cannot tell it is a straight through full 3". I am VERY happy.

Hood is back on. I am going to order a starter and get that swapped before I road test it.

Once the starter it working correctly I will shoot some videos of it.
Something showing the sound of the exhaust as well as some pulls once I get it driveable.
