A properly done crush bend won't limit flow significantly, depending on the angle of course (the tighter the bend, the worse the flow - but a shallow bend is fine). And it can be better than using mandrel sections and poor quality welds with big ridges on the insides of the pipe. I'd much rather have a well done crush bent exhaust, than a poorly done mandrel bent exhaust.

My exhaust is a combo of mandrel bends and crush bends depending on where they are appropriate. I can gaurantee you it's not restrictive. :)

I don't really like the rear section, the bends are in wierd places. under the trailing arm? it would be better to make the first bend directly under the subframe and hug the diff. but whatever.

What I'm saying Is the flange is In the wrong spot to be able to remove the headers without chopping it up. I have delt with that issue with those headers twice and just trying to share my accumulated knowledge.

I never said none of that will work. But my experience has showed that there are better options than the ones you have selected. I had to remove my engine mount arm and take each header out separately. Stop acting like Japandrew.

Looks good, I wish mine sat as tight to the car as your's. What size tubing, if its 2.5" it will flow better then an OBDI E36 even with crush bends. Is it all one piece from the engine to just befor the cat?

Kinda what I was thinking but 'eh. It'll work for sure. Beats stock e30 "i" exhaust ;)
