Thought I'd wheel it out and give it a little bit of a wash today :) The rear needs raising up a bit to get rid of the reverse rake, apart from that I'm super happy with the coilovers!

I'm now toning it down a bit to hopefully save some money & get it done quicker. Guess i'll see what happens over the next few weeks, shits just too expensive :P. To do it the way I want I still have another 6k at least to spend & I really don't want to spend that much:P Anyway there should be a few updates after this weekend :)

So this hasn't gotten a whole lot more done over the last couple of months due to constant setbacks with various things. Engine will hopefully finally be able to be built after this weekend. Upon finally starting to look at building it we discovered that the Cp's Vac sent me still needed some boring to be done so the block went in to get Acid dipped, bored & honed to suit the CP Specs. After that we brought it home painted it up & went to start assembling to find that the Piston Oil squirters were eaten away or fell out somewhere during the boring & honing process. Just got word my new Oil squirters cleared customs yesterday so should be arriving at my door on monday :).

Apart from that I got some free side skirts from Alex (Alexander.) & painted them up at work along with finally finnishing off the boot lid I started last year. The boot lid base coat turned out horrible with contaminents. After a clear it looked a little bit better and after a buff it was all sorted until I got it home & found more. Going to give it a month or so & then buff it again or repaint it if that doesn't fix the problem.

Anyway here's some pics of the skirts & lid, will hopefully have some more updates throughout the coming weeks.

                Boot lid after a buff:

So today we got a little bit motivated in building the engine, Of course nothing went to plan as Vac Motorsport sent me the wrong main bearings so now I have to wait to hear back from them about getting replacements. That said we assembled the bottom end with the old bearings & will swap them out when new ones arrive.

We got about as far as putting the head on & then realized that we were missing one of the front seals so left it at that until I get some in from Pelican parts. Also got a nice intercooler with a Garret core from my cousin for $200. May be a little big but It should cool very well! its about 300x250x125mm core. Should be lots of fun to make fit behind the grills :P

So I haven't done a update in a while so here are a few things that I've gotten up to lately on the build.

First of all the last time I resprayed the lid there were a shitload of contaminants underneath the old paint so we ended up stripping it all back to bare metal and going from there & the finished product is fantastic!

I Also sent my rocker cover & intake manifold away to get ceramic coated. They look a lot better in real life than my camera phone can capture :P

Also since the last update the head was sent away for new guides, valves, decking, seats cut & a general clean up ect..

While I was at it I also got a custom made m20 button clutch & my m20 flywheel machined, With this I hopefully shouldn't get any clutch slip even under boost :)

The latest thing that we got done was the complete bottom end assembled & ready to go, We're currently waiting on 1 tiny part of the valvetrain assembly to arrive & the head will all go on & engine will go back into the car to get run in NA while I gather funds to buy turbos & other goodies.

Nice work man. I just removed mine today! It's never to return though. A new power plant is en route! Will have to wait and see what is in store :D

Engine is now sitting back where it belongs!

Over the next couple of days will do a bit of fiddling around and get it all back together & hopefully crank it over on the weekend :)

Kingston, the head work cost me $750 for all new valves, pressure check, crack check, clean up, seats re-cut, new guides, old springs fitted, head decked & any other labour involved.

Thanks for the response. I am doing the 'e to i' conversion on my SETA engine, and the head I bought is not in as good of shape as it was advertised to be, so I want to have some work done to it. I appreciate having a ballpark price now.

                                Thanks again :)
