    Have you ever really looked at the front subframe motor mount plates? They are not very strong. Any time I have a motor out I always weld around the whole thing and then add a plate on the bottom.
    I would rather be safe than sorry and have the mount break off

    I bent the subframe tabs in 5k miles with my NA s52. I pulled the motor and reinforced it and it was fine after that.

    The 318 subframes are known to crack/rust alot more than the 325 subframes for some reason..
    Does the turbo and associated plumbing add that much weight?

    My last s52 car I had plates machined out of 1/2" plate and welded them in.
    Like white said.

    When I built the S52 car, I had the Turner kit welded in then had it blasted and powdercoated.
