The 4 banger subframes will be prone to cracking because they have a harsh vibrating little piece of shit 4 cylinder sitting on them and not a silkly smooth inline 6 :)

in anycase I would be reinforcing any subframe that is going under a boosted M5x

The 318 subframes are known to crack/rust alot more than the 325 subframes for some reason..
Tru dat, I forgot about the FI and didn't know 4-banger subs are prone to cracks.

My last s52 car I had plates machined out of 1/2" plate and welded them in.
Turner sells a kit. I didn't reinforce mine - my car doesn't see track duty anymore.

My rack was seeping ever so little and z3 Mavel racks are so cheap I thought it would be best to just do it while the motors out. I had a 4.0 lock to lock ZF rack and put in a 2.7 lock to lock z3 rack. Bolted right in with spacers and no mods to the universal joint. Just had to trim a tad for clearance and mod the bracket on the inside. 20 minute job. I swapped out the inner tie rods as i thought theyd be cheap ones but it turns out they are OE BMW inner joints.
So now the motor can go in

Yes, stealth intercooler is a must. Could you send it out to get sprayed with black heat soak paint? I heard about it somewhere, it's like reverse jethot.

    Im running the ZF box.
Im running a slim pusher for the a/c condensor and a slim puller for the radiator. I basically copied Good n tights set up .. its really tight and i had to cut a lot on the valance. But once bolted on it looks stock. I may just mist my intercooler with black paint so you cant see it at all

Sweet. Now maybe i can get some decent intercooler with a/c pics. Are you gonnah run a slim pusher or just a puller and see how that holds up?
