Got some stuff this weekend...I can't seem to get the ball joints separated from the strut housing. Destroyed the ball joint boots in the process with a pickle fork and BFH. Any suggestions? I have new control arms and cabs on order now.

Nice stuff. As nice as you are building this car, I need to ask, why use vinyl boots that dont fit right? Real leather sets are $40.
Drop Rob from UUC a line, Im sure he can tell you if genuine or fake.Leave a comment:

Got some parts in the mail:

ZHP knob, Z4 2.5 shift lever, bushings and clips...

A lot better!
Also picked these up yesterday from a fellow r3v'r. Thanks, they cleaned up really good. Have tires already, just need to get them mounted up.

One question: This was in my car before: illuminated UUC shift knob. Is it a real one? I tried to search to see if UUC did really make one like this. Can't seem to find a match.

Thanks!!!!!>Although I didn't have any leaves or webs, it was pretty dirty and greasy. I would recommend vacuuming any loose leaves, dirt, webs, etc. At first I tried engine degreaser by Engine Brite,; didn't work too well. Tried Purple Power, better, but didn't remove the cosmoline. Hit it up with Simple Green Max...wow! That with a toothbrush, grout brush and microfiber sponge, it came out really nice! Umm the only thing I covered up was the distributor cap. Good luck!

Changed my timing belt, accessory belts, plugs, filters, water pump, etc... and threw on my valve cover:

Doing a coolant flush now with Lubro-moly radiator flush. Question...can I use this g12 coolant? Or would it be better to get OEM BMW blue coolant?
