    E30-LS1 Swap KITS now available!!

Due to demands we are going to be offering a limited number of the "hard parts" for the LS1 swap.

We thought you would all be happy to know that kits will be available in a very short time. We will be doing an initial run of 10 kits so if you would like to reserve one please let us know!

    What will be included
    - Engine Mounts
    - Transmission Mount
    - Brake booster linkage system
    - Second Differential Mount (bolts to 3 of the diff cover bolts)
    - Radiator Mount
    - Swap CD

We're shooting for a price-point of between $1200 and $1500 for the whole kit (cheaper than most sets of wheels!!). We can work out details for individual pieces (i.e. if you only want engine mounts, or only want the second diff mount). We're getting the first set of parts on friday from the lasercutters, which we will use dial in our jigs and be sure fittment is good. After that we will know exactly how much it will cost us to get the first run of 10 kits lasercut. We're trying to keep the kit relatively cheap so that it is accessible to as many people as possible.

I will post pics of the first kit once it's complete, hopefully sometime this weekend or early next week!

    Here are some teaser pics.

Quick vid from last winter...I'll make another one soon

    Booster Linkage system

    Engine Mounts

    Stress analysis on engine mounts

Tranny Mount (modified from our original version for easier exhaust routing)

Second Diff Mount (Bolts to 3 of the diff cover bolts. Also now has webbing between posts for stiffening)

    Finished Engine Bay

Due to the cost that it's going to be for us to do this, I would like to start a list for the initial run of 10 of people who are committed. Please note that I AM willing to mix and match parts.

    1) FreedS4 (engine/tranny mounts)
    2) mutty (booster system)
    3) BeirBrennerE30 (booster system and diff mount)
    4) bimmerfreak87
    5) tyBeck
    6) Chris Woods (diff mount)
    7)
    8 )
    9)
    10)

    Cheers

          Garret,

You and your Dad have done some awesome work for your own LS1/T56 swap, as well as putting in the work to make this swap possible for a lot more people. I look forward to seeing how the mounts turn out. I'm definitely down for all 3 mounts. Thanks again.

          Chris

Some fun things going on today! Picked up a horizontal/vertical metal cutting band saw from harbor freight! As requested, here are some rough picks of our Second Diff Mount.

(I uploaded these to facebook from my phone for speed and am posting from there, hope this works)

                New Saw!!

So how does the second diff mount actually mount to the car?

There are two brackets that come down from the crossmember and bolt up through the trunk

                          Garret,

If you ever plan on doing just the booster linkage let me know, may be a nice addition to my S38 Project.

I already have a 540i remote booster, setup, but I like how much more compact yours is.

                            Some incredible stuff!

Any idea on how comparable size wise an S62 is compared to an LSx - would the booster setup be okay to use, space wise for an S62 swap?

Damn, that's awesome work guys. What's the total estimated cost of an LS swap including engine anyway? sounds like it could be way more bang for your buck over the ever popular S50 swap.
