Took some pics in a parking lot

Then I went to h2oi in Maryland. Over 2000 miles traveled in a weekend in this junker haha. Made it the whole way, there and back, without any issues.

I just ordered new 524td exhaust manifold gaskets. Then I'll have all my exhaust leaks fixed....finally. I also have a z3 rack I'm going to toss in the car for fun.

Bought some RS's. Rebuilt them, polished all the two front lips and bought 3" rears. Specs are 15x7 et0 and 15x8 et-12

Here's before the rebuild. Kinda hard to see but imagine everything looked like it was raw aluminum:

And here's after I polished the lips, bolts, and redid the centers

Also rolled the rear fenders more & lowered it about an inch, maybe more in the rear. Same as when I had the Borbets. Plus I got the car retuned for 13lbs boost.

Definitely do the double to single conversion if you can!

Yes, initial cost really. The spud (threaded adapter from the block to the oil filter) was $1 and will hold me over until I piece together an after market setup. Which I'm not even sure I'll do. I need to pick up an oil temp gauge so I can really figure out how necessary one would be. It also seems like it's time to do a dual to single fuel pump conversion. I think my fuel pump is going and is the source of the bogging issue I've been having lately as well as the random no-start.

So all this fuss with the oil cooler....busting a line open... then a hole in the actual cooler.....and then having to reseal the oil thermostat because it was leaking. Well, the NEW circlip on the oil thermostat failed earlier in the week and ejected the spring and pin that it contains, spewing the liquid gold from my motor all over US 441. So I finally deleted this cursed setup and got one of the "spuds" from a b27 at the local pick and pull. So now I'm oil-cooler-less and much happier. I'm expecting that I'm going to have to change the oil a little more often now, but not a big deal.

That's a pretty good deal people around here were trying to charge me 400-700 to do that

$150, they charged a little more because they had to spend a decent amount of time trying to remove the rocker tubes.

Replaced the front 15mm spacers with 20's

Also, I think I said it before, but I had John & Gerson @WOT-Tech retune the car. 8psi on 93, so lower but better

A few updates. I pressed in my new ball joints, replaced the 15mm spacers with 20mm ones in the front, and had forced firebird (john@wottech) redo the tune. Also had the blow off valve welded on a few weeks ago :)

Here's some pics over the last few months :p

It started with the popped radiator hose

Then after changing that and starting the car up, I found that it didn't want to stay running and was pouring white smoke out of the exhaust. So it was time for a compression test. After doing the test I found that my hg was blown. :/

DIY exhaust gaskets didnt last long lol

So I ordered a top end gasket set along with a few other misc things like oil thermostat rebuild kit from WOT-Tech

    Had the head machined/hot tanked

    New injector O-rings

    Oil thermostat resealed

    New turbo mani gaskets

    New everything gaskets:roll:

    Coming together

Bought this volvo->t3 transition flange to help everything seal properly.

New Gotez headgasket on the block after cleaning the block

    Head in the car

    Just about finished!

Had the BOV flange welded onto the charge pipe

Got the new Condor shift knob. Love this thing:pimp:

MLS wastegate delete gasket along with a 1/2" plate. Much better than my 1/4" homemade plate with a DIY exhaust gasket. It's a 38mm delete, so I had to hog the holes out a lil bit

    Took a bath

    Took a trip
