To all that were asking the wheels are actually OE BMW wheels from an E60.

I have a back-up set of OZ ultraleggerras just in case the low offset kills my plans. If I end up having to super stretch the tires or something I'm probably just going to use the e36 sized OZ's with a proper tire.
i think you can only get away with those wheels if you get the e30 m3 suspension.

I have heard this. Since I have the OZ's as back-up I am going to make an effort to fit them while I'm fooling around with the suspension anyway. The car will be getting taken apart and painted this winter so rolling/ pulling is not out of the question at this point.

Are the 16" e38 style 5's commonly used with the e36 five lug set-ups? This was another wheel I was looking for but the e60 wheels and the OZ's kinda fell in my lap. Any input would be awesome.

Yes I know I could search the 5lug threads but there is alot of conflicting info regarding low offset wheels.

          Thanks!

Should have the rear trailing arms in tonight so I can get a good idea of how the rears will fit. Pics will follow!

5's wont work on the e36 suspension. the offset on those wheels are too low.

As it is, the guys that are doing the redrill on those wheels to 4x100 are having the front wheels come out pretty far out. with e36 suspension you'll be past the fenders.

Correct me if im wrong anybody? i dont like to think im always right.

Nothing went well last night. Stuck rotor set screws, rusted hardware. The works.

Finally came out and I had time to soak it in spray nine.

              Pile of 4 lug shit.

All assembled and ready to go back in.

              Thats it for now.

Did a little more work last night, all the 318ti stuff is bolted in. Also put the braided lines in. This is the fitment of the et20 wheels. Looks almost like when it was mocked up and certainly not sticking out beyond the fenders.

                Side profile.

Full steam ahead!! Fender rolling should be happening within the next couple days. I think I am going with 215/40/17. Again not a track set-up, just toying around with wheels and stuff for the street. This car does not get driven very often.

You shgould be able to pull the fenders enough to clear those with proper tyres on them easily. Will look great.

Love the look you going for.

Tonight the front gets bolted up, going to start with the M3 rack. I'll probably just get frustrated and drink beer instead.

                      Slow thread is slow.

I may be going a different route wheel-wise... lets say BMWNA is liquidating a certain BBS wheel and they are cheaper than dirt.

I'll let you know if I decide to sell these.

Here is a rear picture, still kinda amazed they fit and weren't mexi-poking.
