If you are still looking for a windshield let me know. We ship glass all the time and we're just about 20 miles NW of Denver. I might be able to help get it crated up and on the way to you.

Well I can hardly believe this but I am pleased to say the car is finished. It's been a long time coming really and I couldn't be happier with the end result. It's cool to see what we put on paper several years ago has finally come to fruition. Sadly, I haven't gotten to see it in person yet...I have been traveling a lot for work. My father got sick of waiting for me and buttoned it up last weekend. He has since tagged it and logged a few hundred miles and reports it is running fantastic.

I hope to make the trip back up to MD in a few weeks to see it in person and take it to Italian car days. I apologize for the quality of the pics as they were taken from my father's cheap point-and-shoot. The pictures:

I want to thank all of your for your kind words, discussion and especially taking the time to read this.

Yeah, just toss that in all casual like. I would KILL to get my hands on a Turbo 2, get that thread started as soon as humanly possible. I've been trying to buy a Turbo 2 shell and parts stash from a guy in Washington for years, he wont let it go no matter how much money I offer him.

Maserati looks perfect, but a Turbo 2 is a whole different sort of beast.

I was really sad when I read this.

                Until I saw this...

I can't wait to see this build!

And if/when you look at selling the R5, let me know. Seriously.

I just wanted to follow up here to say this story has a sad ending. Over the weekend at an Italian car rally the car was involved in an accident and is now a total loss (driven by the new owner, no one was hurt thank god).

To back that up, the R5 we were planning to get fell through...turns out the car didn't really belong to the owner, but his brother who is living overseas. When the guy asked his brother to sign the title over he refused and said he planned on restoring it.

On the upside, we will be taking delivery of a 1994 Bentley Turbo R for a quick turn around and will likely be on the hunt for either an Alfa Milano Verdi or a Lamborgini Espada...

Thanks again for all of you who followed this thread. I'm pretty devastated so I don't have much more to say at this point.

I feel for you and your dad...and the new owner. Good to hear no one hurt. Tough to swallow this one.

I cross-posted this on Grassroots motorsports since there always seem to be inquiries there about Biturbos. If you're not on that forum, you should be. Few places appreciate odd/quirky/unusual cars as much as GRM forums.

Great build, btw. My neighbor in Italy had a pair of Biturbos for years. I never once saw either of them actually running, though I spent alot of time toying with them. Great to see you've made it work as it should!>
