Well its officially the one week mark. I am exhausted. This has been really hard work, especially with the temperature. Enough bitching on to the good stuff.
THE END IS IN SIGHT!
I got everything I wanted to done today. Fabbed some more stuff. I am keeping a running log of every bracket I have to fab, since quite frankly I don't think that there is a really good complete list of everything anywhere. Even the threads about "all information" leave out a lot of good stuff in my opinion.
At this point I am almost done. I am gonna move all the stuff over to storage tomorrow, the throttle cable should come in the afternoon, connect the o2 sensor.
I decided for the cash I am going to have a shop fab my exhaust. I make more in a day working than the quote I got so It doesn't make sense to fuck around with it myself.
Pictures and update from today.
Started by getting the brake reservoir into place. It needed a bracket. So I found some scrap aluminum and decided to mount it in the stock PS res location.

Ended up ziptieing the PS res in place. Not great but I did get longer lines. Got actual PS hose. Previous owner decided heater hose would work
got the trans full of fluid, PS full of fluid, Brake fluid, bled the system. The clutch feels great :)
Next part was getting the headers in. I dont think there is a BMW where these are easy to put in. Aside from the engine swap this is my LEAST favorite activity in these cars. Anyway.

The engine mount wouldnt clear so I took off hte engine arm heatshield and had to build a heatshield for the mount. More fabbing, more aluminum sheet.

shiny but painful

These are for the exhaust guys to fuck with.
