Thanks, I can only hope that my car might look as clean as yours when it's done.

could u post up some pics of dump and steering shaft solution

just some tips for a heads up:

1.What turbo do you have? I hope not the t25, cause the greddy intake manifold will make you loose most of your low end power. A gt2871r, or 76r, or even a gt30 works awsome with those intake manifolds.

2.With the turbo manifold, you should put a brake master heat shield, like a thin sheet of aluminum between the two, the SR bucks a bit side to side and for sure will melt the fuck out of the BMC reservoir. a torque damper works amazing and solid or nismo motor mounts prevents any side bucking, when i installed one on mine it was amazing how it eliminated it alltogether.

3.Make sure the maf sensor is not blocked or restricted in ANY way with the cone filter adapter, any slight disturbance within an inch or so infront of the MAF sensor inlet hole, will LEAN the motor out significantly. the inner diameter of the maf adapter should follow the Maf inner diameter lines perfectly.

4.As much as the coil pack cover looks cool, ditch it, the coil packs suffer from the heat that builds up from having the cover on ,the heat cant escape that well there. if you want to keep it check your coil packs for cracks often. ( the trunk of the coil packs split open from getting too hot)

5.The valve cover breather outlet, slap a hose on it that routs to a catch can, dont route it back into the intake and do not put a tiny K&N filter on that outlet as it will fill with oil from crank case blowby and eventually spit on the manifold and start a fire, i ve seen it happen on clients cars

I have a lot of experience with SR"s Ive done 9 swaps on s13,s14,and s15, amonst other Rb shit, ive also built a few motors for drifting in DMCC, looks like u have things pretty much under control. any questions shoot me a pm

look sick keep up the good work.
    1. It's a T28, I only got the manifold because I picked it up for $200 and it looks better than stock.

    2. Heat shield is already taken care of (see pictures), and nismo motor mounts will come at some point.

    3. That maf was a broken ka maf, got a new one on now, car runs fine.

    4. I plan on pulling it for track events.

    5. Catch can is taken care of (see pictures)

Nice work mate! I just put my engine and box back in over the weekend, I'm counting the days till startup now!

I did a similar thing, 1 piece shaft. The driveshaft shop here was a little concerned with it. Thought that at the length (1220mm) a 3" shaft is getting a bit on the weak side of things when it comes to decent power / torque. Not alot we could do though as there isn't the clearence for a bigger shaft or unijoints in the rear cross member.

    Your install is looking great!

Boy that driveshaft looks long and skinny! What diameter is it and what is the max RPM you can turn it? I know The Driveshaft Shop know their stuff, but that looks unusual to me.

So the driveshaft came in from The Driveshaft Shop:

The hydro and shifter got put in:

And the car started! Still needs work, but hearing that open downpipe spewing out noise was music to my ears.

Getting some work in before the valvecover goes back on for the last time.

Tomei Poncams and rocker arm stoppers in.

All sealed up... The valvecover didn't turn out exactly the way I want, but the body shop cheaped out and still spent more doing it than I wanted to pay, so I can always re-do it later.

S14 T28 turbo is in, along with new manifold, and turbo outlet pipe... It all fits!

Closeup of clearance. Vorshlag steering shaft definitely helped with clearance. Should make the steering feel much better too.
