Took me about 2 hours to finally clock the turbo exhaust housing into the correct orientation. After letting hte mother sit in the oven for like 60 Minutes. If It wasnt for charlie it would have taken me quite longer, he walked me through it

Started test fitting it. It fits in there, ITs a squieeze and I might have to jimmy the piping, but the wastegate valve is going to have to be welded shut, which can be done by some dudes at the university. also you can see the wastegate linkage is in the way, so that will be removed as well.

SO I will be getting my exhuast done this week, and my titanium exhaust wrap should come by the end of the week as well. so that will get me to be 100% ready for the road, and getting Ready to Tune for my San Diego Road Trip Which is my Goal. I will be leaving on July 3rd to roll down there. Fucking exciting.

Time to get back to work, I need a Downpipe made. so I can ****ing finally drive this car around without Dying of CO poisoning, or Blown ears

I got the template made, but now I have to get my existing downpipe modified. All the exhaust shops in davis are too busy to help me, so I am stuck for a couple of Days, and I have a goal of finishing her by next week. If anyone has advice, or anything along those lines, like can lend a hand, that would be epic.

take your current downpipe to an exhaust shop. Mkke a template of what you need now. I find wire to work well for exhaust templates because it is easy to bend. have them weld something up according to your template. Not too many options, other than towing it to someplace.

Right now I am kinda stuck. The downpipe doesnt fit in the bay correctly, and I can't really drive her to a shop like this right now, so I am trying to figure something out.

Decided to clean up some of the engine bay metal pieces that are just sitting around. gott the soap nddd water...

Got the 666 Manifold in.... It actually looks like it is designed for this car....



NOt sure what to use the two little screw in ports on the side of the manifold for however. Maybe EGT sensors?

Here The External WAstegate is in place. I will be getting an atmospheric dump pretty soon from the exhaust shop. I will also Brace in this wastegate so that it wont be prone to breaking.



Now The turbo is in place, and I redid the Intercooler piping. Much cleaner, and much simpler. LEss distance for the air to move as well..

So, After my new Manifold came in, and absolutely no shops in Davis could do the install, I decided to beast mode it in the sun without the correct tools for the job, or a lift. But hesitate not! I think I got lucky.

The main problem that prevented me intially from doing the job myself is the exhaust system is one piece. I figured that It would be nearly impossible to move the downpipe in order to move the manifold. But after an hour of wiggling and moving, and forcing the damn thing to adjust I managed to get enough room to loosen the bolts and remove the broken manifold for the new one.


Just A lil Six pack for me and my buddy to combat the Summer sun.





THE shop; It's a fancy spot, with great tools. Shade tree mechanic quite literally.

It was a little frustrating, because the car wasnt starting for some odd reason after a backfire, when It was starting up on a jiffy this morning, and for the months prior. Ill have to do some troubleshooting later, when it is back together. the computer wasnt much help, It was saying I was getting fuel and spark.... GRRR....

I'm thinking of pulling a feed from my oil filter sandwich plate. I see the oil pan on th 02 is also different to the e30 one. I kinda have small wings coming out of the sides of mine.

The 2002 oil filter housing from the Stock tii has an oil feed line, That being said, on a stock 2002 it can be drilled and tapped.

yo dont have to spend 300 on an oil cooler. Check out pegasus racing or something along those lines, there are lots available
