10-11 is the proper maf position. I never thought it was for power more for design reasons...b ut what do I know I don't follow that rule.

I know 24v is a MAF... just hadn't seen the NV maf before.

You know what would look good in that empty spot? whooooooosh. :)

My MAF is upside down (to hide the plug) and totally fine.

Is it 10 o'clock looking at it from the front, or from the rear?

Looking good Josh. I really dig the contrast between the red and the black bedliner.

Well, I got my bonehead sticker tonight.

Started to bleed the brakes tonight. So we get thepressure bleeder hooked up, fill it with fluid, build up pressure, Andrew opens the bleeder valve at the rear caliper. Fluid is coming out, but VERY slowly, we're like WTF mate?

So we get it (that caliper) finished, start jacking up the car from the end, and I see a steady stream of brake fluid dripping out of the front of the car. Discover that the fitting above the front frame rail, kind of under the booster, is less than finger tight, barely even on. So it was just pushing all the fluid that didn't go to the rear caliper out of that fitting.

And to add insult to injury, about half the ATF I poured into the PS reservoir leaked out of one of the steering rack hose fittings, I was missing a crush washer on each fitting. I could have sworn they were on there, but apparently, they weren't! :D

But those were the only 2 spots where anything was leaking from, and they were easily identified and fixed. And the bright side is that it's better to find these things now than when it's out on the road, spraying it everywhere. So I'm out about $15 for fluids and an hour of time. Oh well, get some new tomorrow, and go at it again!

None got on any of the paint on the outside of the car, just down on the frame rail near that fitting. Mopped up as much of it as I could get to, it doesn't even seem to affect the bedliner at all, and this was almost 3 hours ago. Another hooray for the bedliner. If it was paint like I'd originally intended, that area would be a disaster. The bedliner isn't even gooey.

I have been in that kinda situation before, I drained my oil, forgot drain plug, poured 6 quarts of redline into a pan of black gear oil...

And like everyone else has said, i love overall look of motor :)

I wonder how it would look josh if you made a panel out of aluminum or steel to cover the area behind the headlights on the passenger side. This part I mean:

I just think everything in your engine bay is all smooth and flat except for that one area. Kind of sticks out. If there was a panel there, it would be all nice and flat. You could just use a few screws to hold it into place. Bedliner it to match.
How about carbon fiber to match the intake? You can find an 11" x 32" sheet (.015" thick) with adhesive backing for $50.
                        or
Go to a vinyl or vehicle wrapping shop and buy some carbon film. You could form it into grooves and over that triangle looking hump on the rail.

^ That seems like to much messing around for such a last minute thing and having huge panel of carbon fiber to match a small intake wouldn't look right. I do agree that a panel should go there to smooth it out.

I was going to do that, I had a piece of aluminum cut out and everything, but the body shop fabricator said it will slowly vibrate through my paint and when the aluminum touches the steel it begins to corrode. You should be able to do it ok with bed liner, I just didn't wanna have to replace the plate in 4-5 years. Ill look around the shop and see if I still have the piece.
