Weak, that sucks. I wish I could of saw it at the picnic.
You will, next year. I'm actually glad it wasn't there, because everything was totally rushed and not how I wanted it, not just the exhaust. Next year, it will be perfect.
Holy shit, no wonder you needed to borrow the car. That is disgusting work! Sorry to see it didn't work out but hopefully some of your components will be salvageable.

The only thing I'm salvaging is the Magnaflow. Everything from the headers back will be new pipes. Having it done right.

Right on, Well I hope you get everything sorted out.
Ok, so I know this has been gone over a million times in other threads, but I want recommendations on a good, inexpensive single in/dual out muffler. I'd like to stick with Magnaflow, has anyone had any experience with this model?
Free Shipping - MagnaFlow XL 3 Chamber Mufflers with qualifying orders of $109. Shop Mufflers at Summit Racing.
It's only $61, and combined with the Magnaflow I'll have in place of the cats, I don't think it will be too loud, but I find conflicting information on the noise level. Single 3" in/dual 2.5" out is pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. All of their mufflers look the same, but there's a dozens of them in the single 3" in/dual out configuration, varying in price from $60 to $150, and I don't know what the difference in them is.
I'd give my opinion but it's nothing but negative.
That muffler is about the same one I use but it was single in and single out. You'll wind up needing 2 mufflers as it doesn't do much to quiet things down. Most cheap aftermarket mufflers require 2 in my experience.

Even with the first Magnaflow in place of the cats up front?
that's horrible, reminds when I drove to midas with open headers to get my headers connected to my cat, they had the exhaust sitting crooked rubbing the valance didnt hook the 02 sensor up and had leaks at every weld. I took it to another midas the next day and they fixed it for free.
from then on I do all exhaust work my self, its pretty easy and a welder paid its self off in a month with all the trouble it saved me.
dude that blows..it seems to me as if the car was on jackstands when he was doing your exhaust, if so- then yeah that sucks, and it makes things alot harder..but no way in hell should that exhaust have come out that bad
he was also welding too hot. basically this guy had no clue what he was doing.
Who knows. Just ordered a new 02 sensor, now I'm just trying to figure out what muffler I need to get. Car goes in on the 11th to have a whole new system built.
