    Another small update,

I managed to find a set of one of my favourite BMW wheels. Style 109's here is a sneek peek. Car will also be running a tiny bit higher than this or at this height if I can find 235/35's for the front.

A small peek at the start of my exhaust manifold, log type. Just need to pick the turbo in a couple weeks then finish that part up. Not the most efficient, but it's my 1st turbo conversion and I wanted to do most of it by myself and build the engine on a little budget.

Got some tyres mounted up to the Style 109's... Must say I like the look!

With the added offset I could remove some of the front camber which was a small bonus, but I'm going to have to do something in the rear. As it stands I have 245's in the rear which isn't a problem but I'm running a 30mm spacer to pull them out with my pulled fenders (well only back left right now, but the right will be done this weekend). It looks kinda strange, I have the option of dropping it down to a 10mm spacer and widening the rears an inch outwards, but then I'm going to need a 255 tyre of sorts and I haven't seen a 35 profile in those. I really am not a fan of stretched tyres which I think might happen.

Oh well enough jabbering here are some pics, bear in mind the car will come down more in the rear when I finish the back right arch maybe another 20mm in the rear or so, and 5mm up front. Pictures...

I'm thinking of some skirts but the only thing local are Tech 2's... not sure how they will flow, I would get them modified to pull them flush but still not sure that the squared off rocker does it, although it might because the valance is squared at the bottom.

            Most people don't.

Was a laugh driving around with the suspension and body mostly done. So many guys trying to race me at stop lights. Was quite comical revving up a stock m10... had a few wtf looks.

              Just a small update.

I have finished pulling the rear fenders, as it stands a 255 will clear in the rear and a 245, at this ride height, I'm tucking a 245/40 in the rear. So when the 245/35's go in it will tuck even more tyre ;)

As for the rest of the car, well things have been happening. I mounted my setrab cooler, it's above the intercooler and in front of the radiator.

I just need to get a sandwich plate and get lines made up.

Then I've been collecting many parts for the turbo conversion. I have almost all of the bigger parts.

              Turbo (t3/t4 .48/.50)
              Wastegate 38mm
              Dumpvalve
              RC Racing Injectors 440cc
              Intake manifold

Tomorrow I will be collecting an exhaust manifold from 318turbo, and on mon it will be dropped off at Full Boost for Maurius to weld a new collector and wastegate flange onto it.

In the next couple of weeks I hope to finish up most of the major part collecting, with the fuel pump, fuel rail (collecting this monday), surge tank, oil breather, and rest of the turbo system fittings and hoses.

Once all that is done and mocked up, I will pull the engine and give it a rebuild with a regrind camshaft (anyone know how much?), need to find someone to make larger eccentrics, and new pistons, bearings, etc. Once I determine the state of the engine.

Here is a quick snap of the mock up with the manifold, turbo and wastegate. The wastegate needs to me shifted away from the engine slightly as the no.3 plug wire is a no go.

I've now got everything but the management, boost pipes, down pipe and fuel rail.

I think it's almost time to pull the engine! :D

What are you planning on doing for engine management? What are your overall power number goals?

I'm using a locally made management called Diktator, not sure if I'm going to use a toothed wheel or not. I'm leaning to a single tripper Map sensor setup to start with.

I'm not sure on power, the bottom end is going to stay stock with a 292 regrind and new valve springs which allow me to rev to 8', but ill only take it to 7k.

Power, I'm looking at between 160wkw and 190wkw but I'm not sure to be honest... Going to boost 1bar to 1.2bar

I just realized I haven't ever posted pictures of the brakes and suspension. I'll put some up tomorrow.

Just to show that I have been busy working on the car, although there isn't much to show as I didn't take pictures. I have pulled the engine and gearbox, stripped it down and sent the head in for an overhaul, I also got new stiffer valve springs made to handle 8000rpm and a 290deg camshaft. Car will ony rev to 7000 though.

The block has also gone foe a rebore, I still need to send the crank in for a grind and I want to take some meat off the crown aswell as the piston skirts.

Since I'm waiting for things to get done to the motor, I got bored and I always wanted to half cage this car. So I started with that. I also removed the rest of the sound deadening goop with a blow torch and putty knife while I had the back seat out. Still not sure if I'm going to bolt or weld in the half cage but it will def intiially be bolted.

I got some work done on the car this weekend as I'm still waiting for my block to be bored out. Guess that is what happens when you work with family, and then I still need to send it in for some o-ringing.

So after much deliberation I went and torn down the back end of the car, everything out! I have always had a spare camber/toe adjustable subframe which I planned on keeping as spare for the race car but I went ahead and just installed it into this car, I also transferred the 12mm shorter solid mounts and ally diff cover mount across.

I hate that I don't have a garage to work in. Rolling around in the dirt is a :yuck:

So far I have gotten the subframe and diff back into the car, I'm holding off on the trailing arms as I just want to get new eccentric washers cut from harder material as the ones from the race car are already showing signs of wear. I need to sort out the CV boots on side shafts as the keep popping off and spewing grease all over the show.
