I know but I thin it's on the lobes? that there is a faint wear circle as the cams are rotated?

I have that same wear on my s50 cams and thought that because of it, they were bad. But who knows. If yours are good then mine have to be good.

Some wear is normal, It's not like the engine was never started.

Hey man, don't hate on the m42. I have a 318i waiting patiently to take over daily duties. Part of the reason is because they get great gas mileage.

I love the m42, I just have no love for my particular m42 lol.

I also ordered a y pipe for the exhaust, it's a 2x 2" inlet and 2.5" single.

Finally got the headers in the mail, this motor is starting to look the business. Picking up the DME and TB from the seller this saturday and hopefully my uncle will be dropping off my newly powdercoated timing cover and valve cover. Then all I need is a harness adapter, clutch, starter, driveshaft and I will be on my way :D
